Apparently the STEX download link for the old mod program SCedit is corrupted/broken. So yeah, just wondering if anybody has a copy of the original install. I'd be much obliged. EDIT: Nevermind. Just found it using archive.org

Apparently somebody doesn't have the brass to handle the truth. Can we say pathetic? Thanks for the edit, moderator. I noticed that you forgot to edit the original offending reply. --- Discuss the issues, not each other --- Ski quote>

I once built a single large city of 8.3 million sims by creating small park lots throughout the city with 15,000 government jobs each (non commercial/industrial) and modding all streets to their maximum speeds and capacity. And even then, the automota couldn't keep up with the massive volume so there were constant crashes yet no congestion. lol. The city was 100% covered in high density residential except for a few small parks and the minimum space needed for roads. Basically, it was obscene and hilarious. Also, I modded the schools and hospitals to have full map coverage, so at one time I had like 40,000+ sims in the single hospital I had on the map. Sometimes it would display the numbers funky though, because the interface doesn't like obnoxious numbers like that.

So I've did some digging and found a few decent terrains for the new Los Angeles Region that I'm building, but none that seem just right. And as for god mode tree mods, most of the ones that I've found are based on lush northwestern forests. which are nice and all, but not right at all for the dry LA basin. So yeah, does anyone have any suggestions for an appropiate terrain and tree mod for my LA region? Oh, and a water mod suggestion would be nice too. Thanks for any help.

Oi. This is an awesome "building" you've got here. However, it would be about 30 times better if it didn't crash my game upon selecting it. And as for these people who have commented here who are incapable of reading and fully understanding the concepts behind this, well, they should just be put out of their misery. Other than that, 9 out of 10 only because I'm pissy about it crashing my game.

Simtropolis will be meeting with SimCity Societies developers
phenphen replied to Dirktator's topic in City-Building Games
I'm still extremely wary of even calling this game "Sim City" and up until now have pretty much forbidden myself from ever purchasing this game, and I still highly doubt that EA will climb off of it's high horse and change the so despised apparently core elements of this game. BUT this is a good sign... perhaps if the representatives of this community give them a firm enough slap in the face with what people who have actually supported and loved this game over the years want. Then maybe... just maybe they might delay the release and take a fresh look at the entire core gameplay and do a lot of reworking. But then again. I'm a dreamer. A really big one. -
How do you feel about the SCS announcement?

Mark my words. This will be the death of SimCity as we all know and love it. I've resisted the concept of moving on to CityLife for some time now, but now with their new title in the works, It looks like I'll be bidding what was once a glorious title adieu for the next best thing. -
