The patterning and direction of the roof texture seems off....it looks like burlap or fabric, and not roofing materials...

product in general 3/5- the building itself looks nice, but the area around it could have been more detailed

Eh, the way the windows are set up looks more like mansion imitating a hotel or commercial offices than Italian style.

If you want an Italian style house, you need more arches and the roof needs to be a bit more curvy. But even if you were trying to make this In the style of, this resembles a office with a nice entrance. Plus Italian houses or just mansions tend to be assorted with all types of shapes. Not huge blocks with nice entrances, unless you live in the southern most part of America. Lastly, the back yard and perimeter could use a bit more work.

I will give this one a rating of 2/5 :(
Better luck next time!

Btw this is more of a personal question, but do you happen to live in the Murrieta Temucula area in Southern California?

Looks more like my dad's Indonesian office than an 'Italianate' mansion. You should use your BAT thread for advice as well.

Alright, it may not have the Italian feel everybody was looking for, but aside from that; does it look good. If I didn’t describe it very well, does that mean it was model bad? I had to give a description somehow!?!?

I could see this easily repurposed as a school or small hospital, but as a house I'm not sure. The uniformity of the windows is the biggest thing for me, it makes it feel very institutional.

The uniformity of the windows and the texturing affect the quality. With some work on the model and textures this could pass off as a Colonial style home. Conversely you could turn this in to a modern hotel. Swap the lawn for a parking lot and take off the gabled entrance on the front and back and you have a Best Western. The windows really kill it though, too dark and much too repetitive.

If you're set on an Italianate villa or a Neo-Classical mansion study architecture some more, learn up on different styles throughout history and work your favourite elements in to your design. Maybe try copying an existing design. The game could always use large homes and pre-war structures, you clearly have an interest in them. Consider this a starting point. How can it be improved? What can be modified?

Good luck and keep up the effort.
