About This File

Description:

I was impressed with many of the different wall & embankment sets out there in the SimCity Community. However, I found a lack of good looking pedestrian stairs and ramps. That is until in my searches I came across Mas71's stairs and ramps in his Walls Pack 2 (WP2) Set and really liked their style, but felt limited in that I could only use one of the texture styles at a time in a city. So I decided to create this addon pack of Pedestrian Stairs & Ramps and Underbridge Lots to complement various wall & embankment sets.

The lots of this addon pack are based on lots from Mas71’s Walls Pack 2 and creates new lots to provide you:

- a set that has a transparent base
- a set to go with Mas71’s Japanese Walls Set (textures for JPNWalls01 thru JPNWalls05)
- A set to go with Nob's Embankment Walls (Concrete, Brick & Stone Textures)
- a set to go with JRJ Residential & Rural Stone Walls by Jeronij & Marrast
- a set to go with JRJ Modern Concrete Diagonal Walls V2 Revised by Jeronij

The lots are intended for use by themselves or to complement the matching wall and embankment sets. The Stairs and Ramps are transit enabled for pedestrian traffic.

The Stairs, Ramps and Underbridge Lots work best on slopes of 15m high. I recommend using Hole Digger/Raiser Lots to accomplish this.

Unlike Mas71 Walls Pack2, these lots, with the varying textures, can coexist in your city.

The lots with a transparent base allow for use with any terrain mod installed showing under the stairs & ramps, or if you have another embankment/wall set that has extenders you can overlay the extended portion of that lot to have that texture appear under the transparent lot (i.e., stairs or ramps with your selected texture extended under it).

The lots are separated into folders associated to their respective Wall or Embankment Sets. This is to help organize them, or for you to simply delete those of a certain set that you do not want to use.

A thorough readme file is in the download with lot statistics and explanation for the dependency usage.

Dependencies for Textures:

If you want to use the addon lots for Mas71 Japanese Walls Set 1, you will need to have “JPN_Walls_Textures1-5_mas71.dat” file in your Plugins folder.
Mas71 Japanese Walls Set 1 textures = JPN_Walls_Textures1-5_mas71.dat

If you want to use the addon lots for Nob’s textures, you will need to have the “Ftextures.dat” file in your Plugins folder. The file is found in any one of his downloads. If not in your files already, you can obtain a copy of the file if you download Nob's Embankment Walls Set.

Thank you and Credits:

Enormous thanks and credit goes to Mas71, Jeronij, Marrast and Nob for making their Props and Textures available to the SimCity community. Especially to Mas71, for had it not been for the stairs and ramps in his Walls Pack 2 set I would not have had the inspiration to make these lots.

Also want to thank Paeng and Tariel over at Simpeg for their offered thoughts, support, and cheering me on.

Thank you for downloading and trying out the lots. I hope you enjoy them.
