Beach Extend Mod  1.0

About This File

Hi!

This is my first 'real' mod.

This is a simple mod that extends your beaches. It adds a more realistic feel to your beaches.

NOTE 1:

This is compatible with other (like terrain mods, beach textures, water textures...) mods, since it has no textures. All it does is extend the beach further onto the land.

NOTE 2:

I used a beach mod in the picture. Here is a link. And a water mod. Sorry, no link. :(

Enjoy!

Do NOT upload this ANYWHERE without my permission.

Is this mod compatible with other beach texture mods?
It has no textures, so yes.

This is a fantastic idea, I have never seen this before! (perhaps it will become an essential in the future!)

This is much more realistic! The beaches being about 20 ft is unacceptable and the beaches you can build are always squared so it looks like the architect didn't line up the parking lots correctly.

Great mod. I'm sure people are aware of the limitless beach mod, but this provides a nice length. Not miles of endless beach in some places. :P And I agree that the maxis beaches are too short.

in what menu does this appear in game?
Do you read the descriptions of things you download?
This is a mod, it modifies the game, meaning its not a 'lot', so it isn't in any menu.

It doesn't feature in an in game menu. All you will need to do is but the file in your plugins folder for the mod to take effect.

why wasn't this thought of before?! total win!
It was thought of before:

https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/files/file/11406-beach-mod-with-9-beach-bits/

But the one on this link is a bit too radical in that it can actually be used as a total terrain mod giving you a middle eastern sandy look.

Awesome idea! Great mod too! Thanks a bunch! I agree with a lot of you, the Maxis beaches are way to short!
