About This File

Redlotus Industries presents: Hancor Manufacturing

Loosely modelled after a company with the same name, this is a Manufacturing Industry growable lot. It provides 357 IM jobs. Since this is a manufacturer of drainage and water pipes, it produces very little garbage and air pollution. However, because of the chemical nature of the production, water consumption and water pollution are slightly higher than normal IM buildings.

Note: This lot will only grow on High Density Industrial zoning.

Since this is my first BAT/Lot building, please be gentle. Constructive criticism is gladly appreciated, though.

Thanks, and enjoy.

I like the buildings, you should post a version without all the extra concrete in the back and on the left side. Looks like a building I used to drive by on my way to work.

This looks good redlotus. Its also good to see a some industrial buildings being made with the BAT. Why does it grow only on high density zoning though? Is that determined by the number of jobs it has? or can that be set specifically? Just curious, its not intended as criticism.

Looks really good to me. And it is great to see a few industry buildings. I did think that the white roof lacks contrast in game, which tends to make the building look a little like a white blob instead of a 3-D object, if that makes sense.

Thanks for the comments, folks. eppisgood--I wasn't sure what to use for the base texture. Using grass made the white roof stick out even more than it does. I'll play with it, though. Sam--I believe that HD zoning is required because of the number of jobs. I didn't change anything to force it.

jellyman--I never was too happy with the roof. I went through several textures just to find the current one, but I am keeping a lookout for others.

how about putting some props in the outside lot? looks too clean for an indust. lot. Usually industries have crates, forklifts, wire fences and junk on it.

There are few very good industrial buildings right now... but this is one of those few. Good job. And the number of jobs vs. the size looks pretty reasonable, as well.
