About This File

3-7-08: FINALLY unlocked, should work fine, please download again, thanks. :)

Kaiser Permanente is a heatlh plan provider and also runs a system of hospitals around the country. This building is their regional headquarters in Portland, Oregon.

The building is located in Portland's eastside Lloyd District, and currently is the third-tallest highrise there. Like it's neighbor, the 700 Lloyd Building it too is surrounded by parking facilities, as this district was planned in the late 60's for a more auto-oriented culture.

The topmost floor is a balcony surrounding a mechanical floor, and is been bathed in blue floodlights, reminiscent of the Kaiser-Permanente logo, nightly. On major hollidays, this space is lit with patterns or colors symbolic of that day (red-white-blue for the forth of July, red and green for christmas, pink for valentine's).

Installation Instructions:

unzip and run the installer program. Files will install to C:/...my documents/SimCity 4/Plugins/Sparkythepenguin/Kaiser Permanente Tower/

(you may change the destination if you wish). You may then go through and remove undesired versions.

Stats:

Modelling and most modding: Sparkythepenguin

German-version beta testing and editing: Andreas_Roth

Spanish-version beta testing: Asturianu

Lot: 4x4 (all lots)

The growable lot should grow only as a stage 7 Houston lot.

English/German/Spanish multilingual support:

This BAT is fully tested, translated, and capable of running in English, Spanish, and German-language versions of SC4.

No need to worry about downloading extra stuff to get it to work in English, Spanish, or German, everything needed is in the lots included. Your version of SC4 will take care of the rest. (Lots will default to English for other languages). A French version may come in the future. That is whenever I can get a refresher course on it or find people willing to translate and beta test in French.

Contents:

Kaiser Permanente Model file

Read-me & associated photos (you are here!)

1 Growable CO$$ (1612 CO$$ jobs)

1 Ploppable CO$$ (plop cost 110000. 1612 CO$$ jobs)

1 static landmark (Plop cost $110000)

NO desc files thanks to Andreas_Roth and his wisdom in believing that plugin folders need as little clutter as possible. :)

dependencies:

None!

Realistic placement/lotting:

This lot looks best when surrounded by roads on the front side, and side streets on the other three.

Bugs/glitches/annoyances:

None of which I am aware.

Another BAT by the The Portland and Oregon BAT Team.

I agree. The lights on all of these buildings look nice, as well. Those blue lights on the top floor of the building are very attractive!

This is great, I see this one almost everyday. Excellent night lightting, the building really does that at night.
