Lloyd 700 Building  1.0

About This File

Should be working now, please download again.

Four blocks in Portland's Lloyd District were cleared for this building, and only one of them got an office building built on it. Two streets were closed and the other 3 lots became part of a weird surface-underground parking garage and surface lots. Yuck!

But hopefully not for long. The current property owners of this underpowered superblock eventually want to redevelop the other 3 parcels and fill in the eastside skyline a little bit. But right now, that's on hold.

The 700 Lloyd Building's topmost floor is a mechanical floor. Surrounding it is an open-aired balcony, continuing the facade upward. The interior of this area is bathed in yellow floodlights at night, and sometimes on coordinates with the neighboring Kaiser-Permanente Tower for an Eastside Chriastmas light display or a patriotic 4th of July statement.

Installation Instructions:

unzip and run the installer program. Files will install to C:/...my documents/SimCity 4/Plugins/Sparkythepenguin/Lloyd 700 Building/

(you may change the destination if you wish). You may then go through and remove undesired versions.

Stats:

Modelling and most modding: Sparkythepenguin

German-version beta testing and editing: Andreas_Roth

Spanish-version beta testing: Asturianu

Lot: 4x3 (all lots)

The growable lot should grow only as a stage 7 Houston lot.

English/German/Spanish multilingual support:

This BAT is fully tested, translated, and capable of running in English, Spanish, and German-language versions of SC4.

No need to worry about downloading extra stuff to get it to work in English, Spanish, or German, everything needed is in the lots included. Your version of SC4 will take care of the rest. (Lots will default to English for other languages). A French version may come in the future. That is whenever I can get a refresher course on it or find people willing to translate and beta test in French.

Contents:

700 Lloyd Building Model file

Read-me & associated photos (you are here!)

1 Growable CO$$ (801 CO$$ jobs)

1 Ploppable CO$$ (plop cost 11000. 801 CO$$ jobs)

1 static landmark (Plop cost $11000)

NO Desc files needed thanks to Andreas_Roth. :)

dependencies:

None!

Realistic placement/lotting:

This lot looks best with roads on the front side, as it is in real-life. For the ultimate in lotting realism, add the building to a big 9x9 lot. Put 700 Lloyd in the NW corner of the lot and add parking spaces and cars until you fill up the rest of the lot.

Bugs/glitches/annoyances:

None of which I am aware.

Another BAT by the The Portland and Oregon BAT Team.
