About This File

This is a map of Three Rivers Region, the 16x16 quad (large city square) region that is the subject of my CJ of the same name. The map is in SC4TerraFormer's .SC4M format, and requires SC4TerraFormer or SC4Mapper to install. The region is 256 quads total and is hand terraformed to include landforms that are fair representations of their counterparts somewhere in RL.  For those who don't want to use the entire region, it has been divided into four quarter-sections of 64 quads each. 3RR-SE is on the STEX here [ linkie ]. 3RR-SW is on the STEX here [ linkie ]. 3RR-NE is on the STEX here [ linkie ]. 3RR-NW is on the STEX here [ linkie ].

Again, you will need SC4TerraFormer, which is currently at V1.1 and which you can download here [ linkie ], to use this map.You may also use SC4Mapper, currently at V2, which may be downloaded here [ linkie ].  This latter means is recommended if you use an older or slower computer, as SC4Mapper requires less horsepower to run than SC4TerraFormer.

Three Rivers Region is a landscape of the mind. A great deal more about it can be found here [ linkie ]. What you are downloading is the full region, which is a 40 mile by 40 mile/64 kilometer by 64 kilometer square area consisting of 256 large SC4 city squares, which I call “quads” in my CJ. The region is also available in four quarter-sections (64 quads each): NE, NW, SE and SW, that are also, as noted, found on the STEX- you can search for them all at once by typing my nic, “dedgren”, in the STEX “find” box.

To install this region:

1. If you don't already have SC4TerraFormer DL’d and installed, please do so.  If you are going to use SC4Mapper

It is indeed a master work. But I have a problem: How do I install the maps in my game? I know how to do it with bat files but I wonder what's the procedure to put new maps in the game.

Great map! Very nice terra forming. My question is can I change the config size to medium, once I have gone into each area and taken out the shiny green?

How could it be otherwise than a 10, well... it could be 20! But I guess we'll settle for 10! Thanks for sharing it my friend!

Well, the four are 10s in my opinion, so would that make this a 40? Excellent work as always--that thing is truly gargantuan . . .

I have no idea if my computer can load this huge map. I'm going to try it tonight, for your effort... 10/10 my friend. Well done!

Masterpiece (but you knew that already). I hardly ever give a 10. But what the heck it's Christmas season.

yeah it looks awesome...the only problem is, that my terraformer is not loading the region with mountains and all this stuff but only the 64*64 plaine of the map...

It's a great map, but I can't load it into SC4Terraformer too, I just keep getting those invalid image file messages :((

3RR and Dedgren are my inspiration. If I can create a region remotely as interesting I will be satisfied.

Extract the files into the regions folder.

If you have the Steam version, do exactly this:

Computer/OS(C:)/Program Files (x86)/Steam/SteamApps/common/SimCity4Deluxe/Regions

Its as simple as that!
