About This File
This is a map of the northwest quarter of Three Rivers Region, the 16x16 quad (large city square) region that is the subject of my CJ of the same name. The map is in SC4TerraFormer's .SC4M format, and requires SC4TerraFormer to install. 3RR-NW is eight by eight quads (64 quads total) and is hand terraformed to include landforms that are fair representations of their counterparts somewhere in RL. 3RR-SE is on the STEX here [ linkie ]. 3RR-SW is on the STEX here [ linkie ]. 3RR-NE is on the STEX here [ linkie ].
Again, you will need SC4TerraFormer, which is currently at V1.1 and which you can download here [ linkie ], to use this map.
Three Rivers Region is a landscape of the mind. A great deal more about it can be found here [ linkie ]. What you are downloading is the northwest one-quarter of the region, which is a 20 mile by 20 mile/32 kilometer by 32 kilometer square area consisting of 64 large SC4 city squares, which I call “quads” in my CJ. The other three other quarter-sections of the region are also on the STEX- you can search for them individually at the links noted above or all at once by typing my nic, “dedgren”, in the “find” box.
To install this region:
1. If you don't already have SC4Terraformer DL’d and installed, please do so.
2. Create a new subfolder in your “My Documents” SC4 "Regions" folder and name it “3RR-NW”.
3. Unzip this file into the 3RR-NW subfolder.
4. Run SC4TerraFormer and select the "3RR-NW" region.
5. In "Global Tools", select "Import Image"
6. Navigate to the "My Documents\Simcity4\Regions\3RR-NW" folder and choose "3RR-NW.SC4M"
7. Select and execute “Save” from the SC4TF main menu and then exit the program.
8. Run SC4 and, at the region screen, select and load 3RR-NW from the regions displayed. Please note that the quads will be in SC4TerraFormer colors until you open and save each one. You will also, if you want to have 3RR appear as it does in my CJ, to DL and install cycledogg’s Columbus Terrain mod [ linkie ] and his updated Columbus textures #3 [ linkie ] and #4 [
