  1. CXL Pricing-Is Monte Cristo serious?

The development of this game has been like faint hit on my radar since it was announced. I can understand why others have followed its development closely. After Societies flopped, MC seemed ready to pounce on the niche city-building market. After looking at the details of the PO, I can say with confidence that I'll be skipping Cities XL. As many have already said, having to pay full price for the game and then have a paid subscription service for delivery of game elements that should be consider standard is unfair to the consumer.
  2. Cartoon Favorites

Well, I guess I'll start from my early childhood and move on up. As a youngster, Popeye. I could never get enough of all the various ways Popeye overcame Brutus/Bluto with contents of a can of spinach. I certainly never understood what either Popeye or Bluto/Brutus saw in Olive Oyl. Star Blazers checks in next. One day, the owners of this series may release Star Blazers on DVD for a REASONABLE price. The story was compelling, but I was hooked on the Wave Motion Gun. I spent many a day in school drawing the Spaceship Yamato in profile. I am quite thankful to mas71 for releasing the it to the STEX. G-Force, a.k.a. Battle of the Planets, a.k.a. Gatchaman Science Ninja Team was another early morning love child of mine. I loved watching the team change with the command "G-Force Transform" and the deployment of the Phoenix. Dungeons and Dragons, the story of teenages pulled into the world realm of Dungeons and Dragons after riding an amusement park ride, dominated many a Saturday morning. "Activate interlock, dynatherms connected, infracells up, megathrusters are go... Lets go Voltron Force!" I really think this says it all, along with "Form blazing sword!" I loved Voltron: Defender of the Universe. More than meets the eye! Doesn't that statement say it all as well? Transformers, baby! Optimus Prime with perhaps the best voice in cartoon history! His arch nemesis, Megatron. The would-be-leader of the Decepticons, the ambitious Star Scream and who can forget Soundwave. Yo Joe, the battle cry of America's highly trained special mission force. Its mission, to defend human freedom against Cobra, a ruthless, terrorist organization determined to rule the world! G.I. Joe had me after The Mass Device. I never had a favorite G.I. Joe character Until Sargent Slaughter made his debut. As we move into the 90s, Batman: The Animated Series, Spider-man and X-Men ruled the day. They were followed by Superman: The Animated Series and Justice League. Other cartoons deserving honorable mention include: The Flinstones The Jetson Tom and Jerry Smurfs (As much as I hate to admit it) Wacky Races Johnny Quest Thundarr the Barbarian Scooby Doo: Where are you? The Perils of Penelope Pitstop
  3. Barbecues: Charcoal vs. propane

Charcoal all the way, though I can appreciate the convenience of gas grill. To each one, his own.
  4. Micheal Jackson dies

RIP Micheal... From kid star, to larger than life star, to child endangerer, accused rapist, and punchline... Now, ultimately, you legacy will be your music and most notably, Thriller.
  5. MP Dairy Queen

This is an excellent model with your usual attention to the details! I simply wish that you have opted to make the signage as a prop. By doing this, it gives you and others more flexibility with lot design. It appears, and please correct me if I am wrong, that signage is part of the model itself, forcing a 3x3 lot. Since this isn't your typical W2W design, if you haven't already, check out some of work of Kevdan, he did a number of fast food spots, including a Dairy Queen.
  6. 'Commander in Chief'

Interesting that this game is called Commander in Cheif. There is another game, current available called Democracy 2 that does something similar. I guess there is a lot of demand for govenment policy simulators. Instead of simply focusing on a form of government, lets get the major ones in one game, dictatorship, monarchy, communism, democracy, and all the rest.
  7. American 2008 Election

For anyone who says race was a factor is this election, I ask these people to state something other than the obvious! Race is a factor in every election, even before 95 percent of the African American vote went to a African American candidate. Before O'Bama won the Democratic nomination, it was about HOW to get the African American, the Asian, and the Hispanic vote. If two white candidates were running, then, obviously, 100 percent of the white vote goes to the either of the white candidates. Debate the issues at hand for O'Bama, the significance of his win, or your joy or disappointment with his election.
  8. American 2008 Election

I've never been prouder to be an American than I am today. When an African American can ascend to the position of "Leader of the Free World," anything is possible. Landmark day for American! His presidency will be the most scrutinized four years any president has ever experienced.

  11. mipro BSP Hofmann Building

    Another fine BAT
  12. Simcity Creator Looks amazing!!

I wonder has the guy on the video ever played Simcity. He sounds so in touch with the series as a whole as evidenced by this opening nugget - "Every Simcity fan wants curving roads." Reminds me of a yearly Madden football update. This 2004, offensive playmaker... 2005 Defensive playmaker, a.k.a. the Hit Stick... 2006, QB Vision... Now, put that into Simcity perspective, Wii release, curving roads, 2009 PS3, XBox 360 and PC release, curving highways and variable weather, and 2010, ploppable RCI and improved traffic simulator... I hate EA!! I admit it; I ran with it, jumped off a bridge with it and all that other excess.........
