About This File

This region is my home town Narrabri the region is 46x38 km.

Trivia

Narrabri the name means forked waters in the local aboriginal abiginal language kamilaroi.

The region it self is a located in the floodplain of the Namoi river which is 10 km wider in places. It s major industries are cotton, and mixed agriculture with limited mining/quarying and some forrestry in the Pilliga forrest. There are also a number of smaller industries  and the the area as 2 vineyards. Tourisim is also somewhat important.  there are also a number of scientific facilities scatted round the area. The NE protion of this map is also in the mount Kaputar map

Mineral deposts are extensive but mostly undeveloped at this point in time

Plugins

This map uses my erosion control mods height mods to render the correct mod in this set is the 250m mod. you can also use  mallows 250m mod. However to get it to look like the picture and render properly you wil need NE250m in my set.

Instructions

1) Download the config.bmp and greyscale image Narrabrifinall.jpeg from simtropolis.com

2) (optional)If you have a graphic program open the greyscale region in your progof choice remove jpeg artifact and convert to BMP, Save in a convient location I pick the SimCity root directory in c:\documentsandsettingsusername\mydocuments/SimCity/greysacleimages C:\ is the drive your docs are on

3) put the 100m plugin from mallows heghtmod plugins and only this plugin for heights in the pluging folder. Ground texturepacks etc should be ok but i haven't done so yet

4) Start SimCity 4 use ALT+SHIFT+CTRL+R you will get a dialog box.

5) Browse for your files in c:\....documentsand settingsusername\mydocuments/SimCity where c:\ is the drive your docs are stored on click OK

6) The game will then render the image this will take some time depending on your system as a guide it will take 10 mins on a AMD 2700 with radeon9600 1 gig RAM if your machine is slower it will take proportionally longer to render. It may take longer if you have other programs active.

7) when its finished Rendering ENJOY

Pretty interesting map.. but I used the great new SC4TF (in the downloads shortcuts SC4 Terraformer ) program to build the map and set water level.. took about 15 seconds to render and I had to play a bit to set water level which ended up being 350 meters (its just a matter of entering the number.. no moving mod plugins in or out!!! ) Looks nice.. and its HUGE :) Someone could build cities til the cows come home.. lol.. Thx
