  1. Scottys BATS

If you are looking for cricket player props, check out my local cricket pitch....http://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex and do a user search for callagrafx. There are also cricket blinds, wickets and overlay textures of the pitch. You will need to register if you haven't already (if not, why not ?). Good luck with this.
  2. Mexico City Cathedral

Somebody's been downrating again, so it appears...this is quite simply one of the most magnificient pieces of 3D modelling I have EVER seen in my career...from the moment I saw the initial stages I felt awe and jealousy that I could never create a work of art such as this...it's a true Grand Master.
  3. Get your Maxis files here!

The only difference is it's not in an Windows exe installer, so you need to read the readme file carefully for it to work properly.
  4. School Pack Volume Two BSC

They are amazing...especially when you think there's 3 high quality, well modded and useful schools in one download!
  5. Mac+Bootcamp+Windows=SC4?

Bootcamp simply allows you to switch between hard drive partitions...XP and SC4 runs as it would on a Dell or Compaq or other PC. I run 3dsMax 7 on mine without any problems, and that's one bit of fickle software.
  6. Intel Mac Users

I have SC4 DL on Macbook Pro 2.16Ghz running OS X 10.4.8 and it runs OK..about 30 sec to load in an unterraformed, blank 4x4 city. I also have SC4 DL with the same plugins/terrain mods etc on XP using bootcamp and it takes 4.5 secs to load in the same city. The problem isn't Rosetta but the Aspyr port. The bootcamp/XP route is the better one. I am a stalwart mac user and have been for over 12 years, but truth be told the game just runs better under XP...although the graphics look much better and clearer on OS X
  7. iPhone!

That's not new either...my Sony Ericsson has a 512MB MP3 Walkman built in. As for the Apple Antitrust suit...what a crock! Ipods can play ANY mp3, not just files from Itunes. And think about it, if Apple spent a fortune developing the technology and the integration for itunes and the itunes store, which started off as a service for it's own player software but because of the popularity of Ipod has become a massive success, why should they not protect their investment? That's what patents and copyright is all about. It's not as if it's the only store in town..Napster and MSN also have downloadable music stores. The chosen file format for itunes is AAC, mainly because of encryption methods which mean that the files cannot be distributed freely across the Net, so they are protecting artists' copyright. Just because others cannot or will not use that file format is not a case for antitrust..This, like the Nintendo Wii nonsense, is just another example of others wanting to exploit these new and mostly untested laws for their own ends.
  8. NoahsArk

I would agree with Voscoe...it's more about the preaching than the work...should be considered SPAM. No rating
  9. Mac+Bootcamp+Windows=SC4?

it's FN left & right...Up and down rotate the map.
  10. New Official BAT Request Thread

Just once it would be nice if someone didn't ask for a Skyscraper or a large shopping centre...Come on people, be a bit more inventive
  11. PARIS rue d Antin

This is simply breaktaking...Porky, you are without a doubt a true artiste
  12. British Airways London Eye

A beautiful piece of work...nightlighting is just exquisite.
  13. Mac+Bootcamp+Windows=SC4?

I'd been putting off doing it for a while, as I was still busy with work and didn't want to screw up the machine while I had deadlines...but I did it yesterday and the whole thing took less than an hour with no problems whatsoever. My only problem is I made the partition a bit smaller than I need, so I may have to repeat the process, but everything installed without a hitch. Bootcamp is a very clever bit of software.
  14. Mac+Bootcamp+Windows=SC4?

It runs as well (if not better) as it would on a Wintel "box of many cheap taiwanese components"....XP runs natively. so does SC4..although I have heard of issues with the dual processors and switching, but the trick there is to turn one core off in the processes window.
