About This File

Landmark, 2x4.

A Belgian retro-church (!) - I repainted the original orange-red brick into a more Dutch look (brownish brick) - from around 1880-1900. Dutch and Belgian (the Flemish ones at least) churches look very much alike since they were originally built in the same time (1200 -1400) when the territory shared one common culture. After 1648 the territories were officially split into a Northern half (the Netherlands) and a Southern half (Belgium). The retro-style of the late 1800's tried to resemble older gothic and romanesque styles - hence the similarities of the Dutch and Belgian retro churches from that time.

Prachtige neo-gotische Kerk! Fantastisch! Ga zo door....je maakt echt PRACHT Bat's, ik zou wel een Nederlandse stad willen maken...Vooral die donkere bakstenen kleur spreekt mij heel erg aan omdat de helft van de Nederlandse architectuur er zo uit ziet.

"The only BAT maker in the history of Simtropolis to come straight in with PERFECTION - this BAT and all the other BATS by this user actually DESERVE a 10 rating - true perfection of the art ..........." I can't say it better! Veni Vidi Vici! I'd love more Dutch/Flemish churches, old warehouse, grachtenpanden, burchten, etc! 10/10 (and I really like the pidgeon-poo motif). Do you have a thread in the forum?

This BAT is great ... except unfortunately you've used the same texture here as on your other project and to make matters worse its tiling all over the place.. Other than that, good model.

The church is just brilliant, but as I suggested before, it would be even better if your lots was not made up by standard elements. Church 17/10, lot 3/10, total 10/10

I agree with everyone that the modeling you are doing is incredable....some of the best on ST. I think that maybe NDex or BSC should take you under their wing....maybe catch up with Barbyw
