About This File

This is a large rail yard that has a 6000 freight unit handling capacity. This lot is pretty basic and is primarily meant to showcase the Railyard and Rail Spur texture pack. The lot is large at 12x24 tiles and is transit enabled for both rail and street.

Please note: This lot is modified for Freight Rail and Truck traffic only. That is its intended design. If placed on Passenger Rail Lines it will block all passenger traffic.

The locomotives in the picture are BNSF and the only reason for that is; I have a Dat file that replaces the game's default locomotives. You can use any road name you like or just stick with the default. All of the locomotives and some of the train cars appear and disappear on a schedule to simulate activity on the lot.

I appologize for the long list of dependencies, and I did try and trim the list down some, but it's...,well..., a big lot.

Notes about Nightlighting Effects

In order to see the nightlighting, you must install the EP1-Update 1 for Rush Hour/SimCity 4 Deluxe, and then afterwards, install the SC4-Update for nightlighting (note: you have to be logged in in order to see the download link). If this update isn't installed, you won't see any lighting effects on custom BAT buildings.

This is a very nice and useful lot. I never liked the Maxis stations. Although i hardly use the full capacity of them, this looks much nicer and realisitic. The only bad thing is long list of dependencies, but it will hardly stop me from downloading.

Thank you everyone! This was first( and my 1st ) uploaded a few weeks ago, but had been inadvertantly deleted during the change-over to STEX 5.0 Believe me I know about the dependencies. It's also proportional to the size of the lot.

Who cares about dependencies?!? Look at 'em as a basis for how badly you want to download the file. For me, industrial cities are so much more fun and challenging to create, so wonderful rail yards like this are money. I didn't even blink before starting the download. Thanks NCD!! <:-D

I would LOVE this yard if it weren't for all the dependencies! I HATE dependencies! COuldn't you have just added those into the installation pack? *Sigh*, I'll still download them all, only 'cause I LOVE this thing!

To the complaints about dependencies-Please read the Omnibus Article titled "The Dependency Debate" to see how foolish your comments and ratings really are.

As for other works, looks good but you need to register at other site to get all dependencies. That prevents me from downloading.

cvw1: multi-head trains are not possible in SC4, these are just props placed on the Lot. The BNSF locos can be found on the STEX,...use BNSF as a search term.
