Brooklyn Pt. 1 (Downtown, Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, DUMBO, Carrol Gardens, Red Hook)
JackStraw commented on TheOlympics's City Journal Entry in New York City A City Journal
I used to play SC4 years ago, now I'm a CSL fanatic... And I am doing a Philadelphia map... I pretty much did the same thing to get my PATCO line across the Ben Franklin Bridge, except in CSL you have the ability to use singke track one way tracks, which I flanked on either side of the bridge...- 9 Comments

I like how you improvised on the Manhattan Bridge subway lines... Did you or are you gonna do something similar for JMZ across the Williamsburg?- 9 Comments

Thank you Cyclone Boom and CorinaMarie for the responses and welcomes... since you folks are administrators, I have another question...Like I stated, I played SC4 years ago and I did have an ST account... I remember my old username and I think I remember the email account, but I no longer have access to the email and I don't remember the password... Is it possible to get access to this old account without those credentials? I put a search in for my old posts, and some are still there, buy i wanted to see my old CJ and there is no trace of it... If I remember correctly, didn't you guys do a purge some years ago?

Hello everyone... Cities Skylines player here,,, But I was bi9g fan of SC4 back in the day. Now as then, my intention is to recreate Philadelphia PA... I always play sandbox, although I do try and make my cities profitable and desirable. I am currently doing an 81 tile Philly map almost 1:1 scale... Things are lining up pretty good, something I just wasn't able to accomplish with SC4. I think it's because CSL is not as grid rigid as SC4 is. I'm amazed though that SC4 is still going strong... Truly a testament to the developers and modders. Question... My map so far is only a network map, no simulation or zones yet... Should I start a city journal now, or wait until the city is officially satred...ie: my first zone is placed?

What do you want in Cities: Skylines?
JackStraw replied to AidanA28's topic in Cities: Skylines General Discussion
I want subway and elevated metro. And I also want to be able to plop stations diag for both. I would also like this game to be more North American centric. The fact they are going to allow mods right from the start is nice. Hopefully trams will be added in a later DLC. One thingthat i have a question about is... after watching some trailer, it seems that water must come from river sources, no water tables. That's Ok, but what about land locked cities? Oh... and I almost forgot.... WALL TO WALL Buildings !!!!!!- 307 Replies

SimCity: Transit and Roading Networks
JackStraw replied to alvinheriadi's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
For me, it's too soon to really request anything.... except diagonal frontage plus diagonal subway and elevated stations... Oh, and over street el stops. -

First, you find the map you want to download from the STex. Then click on the thumbnail of the map to open another window. On that window, you will see a download link.... click it. Then another window will open and a greyscale image will be in it. Place your cursor inside the center of the greyscale, and right click. Choose "save picture as"... save it to somewhere you will know how to access it. Then close the window. Now, next to the download link you will see a link that says Config or something close. Click it. A box will open, choose "save"... save the config to the same folder where you put the greyscale. Now, go start SC4. create a new region and name it. Exit the game. Go the folder wherwe you saved the greyscale and the config. Locate the config, click it and then choose "move file" on the left side of the screen. The new Region should be located in My Docs>SC4>Regions>your new region. Complete the move into that folder. If it asks you do want to replace the file named config with the new file name config, choose yes. Now open sc4 again. Open the new region you created once more. When the region is loaded press Cntrl, alt, shift,R. A box will open. Locate the greyscale you downloaded and double click it. You should then see an hour glass, this means the new region is now rendering. The render could take as much as two hours to complete. If nothing happens then yuo did something wrong.

I would agree, DAT Packer worked wonders on my old 03 Pavillion. Lagg aftter doing something like you state, never happened to me. try the DAT, although I thought it's intended fix was the lagg time you would experience after you tried to bring up your menus, also saves and loads between cities. Did you mis-state what is actually lagging?
