SimCity 4 Deluxe Steam edition crashes on startup, Windows 11

Here are my specs on my gaming laptop that I have this game currently installed on: ASUS Strix ROG Scar CPU: i9-12900H, 14 cores, 20 threads RAM: 16GB GPU RTX 3080 I installed the game, and right after the SimCity 4 Deluxe logo pops up, it crashes to desktop. I tried the SC4 Launcher with 1 or 2 cores, messed with the resolution, and even the -CPUCount:1 fix with and without quotes...all to no avail. I've yet to get this game to work. The GOG SimCity games I bought seem to work just fine though and they are much older (SimCity 3000 Unlimited, SimCity 2000 Special Edition) Any suggestions?- 2 Replies

Here is a litle modification for the vanilla radio station. I changed the wrong light and removed the effect at the top. I added some props, changed the overlay textures and deleted the parking. Hope you enjoy it! Installation: Just put the bat file in Plugins The next Reward that I will modify will be the TV Station. I found out that this one have the same wrong light like the vanilla Radio Station. As you can see, I have a light mod installed. The name of the mod is Day and Nite or something like that and it was created by SimFox .The installation is the same, like this mod.- 2 Reviews

NAM won't install on Amazon's SC4 Deluxe Edition Download

Hi. I have both the CD version of Sim City 4 Deluxe Edition, and the Amazon.com download version of SC4:DLXE. The CD version will absolutely not work with Windows 10. In addition, I have installed the patch twice already to my PC for Amazon's Deluxe Edition/Rush Hour; but NAM is somehow ignoring the fact that the version is up to date and keeps telling me to install the patch from SC4Devotion's Website. I don't know what to do right now, except play the game "as is". The download game is located on my desktop, but the CD game is located in Program Files. I think that NAM is trying to access my Program Files and check if it's there. How do I get around this "check"? There is no option currently to check for another location before it checks the version. So, the solution I found to work was doing a system recovery on Windows by wiping all of the files and such from the computer on Windows 10 Pro, and then downloading to the desktop via the Amazon Downloader, and choosing to install from the option in the downloader. Then, select install from Maxis' Installer, leave the directory default, and proceed as normal. I'll let you know if mods work with this solution. Cheers, Brandon N Thomason -
Hello, SimCity 4 players! Today (and in the future), I have a special surprise for you all! I know SimCity 4 Let's Plays have been done a lot in the past, but mine will be different. You will have an extremely experienced SimCity 4 player building metropolises and whatnot to satisfy your video needs (might be exaggerating a bit, who knows?). In the future, I will be posting parts to my Let's Play. You will experience the rises and falls of my region.
