Does the Carpool Incentive Program Ordinance do anything good or bad in SimCity 4? I had lots of traffic, so I implemented this ordinance and I couldn't really tell the difference. Who has gotten it to work? How? And what effect does it really have on the city? Thanks!

I bought SimCity the other week and i was not sure if it would run properly, my computer is relatively new (2-3 years old) but i have had problems with games before. I went to a website which would see if i would be able to run it and it said that i couldn't, it showed me the problem and it was in my graphics card, however it went into more detail and showed me 3 aspects of my graphics card, and it then siad that i met them all, so i thought it would be ok. I get into the game and the graphics were very very bad because there was stretched colours coming of mainly the roads and ruining the game. There are also large yellow blocks on the screen sometimes. I have attached a picture below of the SimCity graphics and also a sims 3 picture which is doing the same thing. Sims 3 was one of the first games i got for my computer and it ran perfectly when i got it but a couple of days ago i noticed it was doing the exact same things as SimCity, i have not tampered with my computer in any way since i got the computer. Can anyone suggest ways to improve this or would i have to buy a new Graphics card? If so can you suggest any good ones, preferable cheaper ones that are still good? PLEASE HELP!!! :'(

B5? You sunk my battleship! This is the Big Bad Black Box Building (collectively the B5 coined by our dear T Wrecks ). It is somewhat of a new version of a building I recreated for NYBT, which was the former building that occupied a city block at 130 Liberty Street in New York. However, this new version isn't intended for accuracy like the last version, I simply wanted a newer building with a slightly smaller lot size. Stats of the B5- Growable version only. Lot Size- 4x4 Occupant Type- CO$$ Jobs- 5,000 Dependencies- None! Okay so ingame you won't see it grow as the B5, it's named Paperback Publishing Company(if someone puts two and two together with this name and my username you get an imaginary cookie). So if you wish to plop it with the Extra Cheats Plugin DLL, look for it in the first few P's. However, you can rename the building as much as you'd like. Hope ya'll enjoy this one! -
As a Mac user, I've played SimCity since the original-- released on Amiga/Mac first . It's been disappointing that I've not been able to do any modding since SC2K and SCURK because there haven't really been any tools for it on the Mac-- i.e, no BAT no lot editor for SC4. Having to jump through hoops to dissect .exe files for plugins, etc has been a minor pain, and Mac users had to jump through hoops with some of the EA SimCity web site stuff too. So do you think we will still be second-class SimCitizens? Presumably, with the announcement of a PC/Mac release, Aspyr is no longer in the picture for SimCity (thankfully?), so ideally, we won't be dealing with an inferior port of the game. Just speculation, here. I understand that not much is known yet about the state of modding for the new version... I'm just kinda curious (and hopeful) about not being left out this time.
