Decided to try my hand at this. Heres is a giant marina area slash waterfront area for what shall be the signature city of mynew region. Anyhow partly inspired by real life in which the marinas I see have hotels, confrence centers, shopping and public park areas.

A while back I read a thing on here about more realistic suburbs. I decided to experiment so I am gonna post some pics of my suburbs and see what u think ? Anyhow first up is Catelonia which is comprised of Catelonia and the village of San lorenzo. Most of catelonia east of the freeway is suburbanized with some farms left near the mostly undevoloped downtown. Catelonia is fast encroaching on San lorenzo (which is mostly farms) and will have to eventually annexed) Its a historical ode to many of the suburbs of the San francisco Bay Area. The area of cities that we know today were usually comprised of many small farming villages that were mushed together to form a city once they became more surburban. For example Fremont,CA near where I live is comprised of the former small farming villages of Mission San jose, Irvingtion, Centerville, & Niles. Anyhow experimented with sunken freeways and rail overpasses. Please be kind and let me know what u think im a begineer. The rail line in the middle of the pic is the border between catelonia and the village of San lorenzo and its farms to the south of the rail line.https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Catelonia%20Neighborhood.jpg align=baseline> Closeup of one of the neighboorhoodshttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Rail%20over%20passSunken%20Freeway.jpg align=baseline> Railway and avenue overpass over sunken freewayhttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Sunken%20Feeway.jpg align=baseline> Another close up of the sunken freewayhttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//San%20Lorenzo.jpg align=baseline> Small Village of San Lorenzo with encroaching catelonia in back ground.
