Creating more content for the wind industry: Rotor blade transport of LM 58.7 P blade, (turbine technician for scale)
  5. (Mod) AMPS Development Thread

    Transformer and cable spareparts yard?
  6. hm...I would assume the items you are trying to connect have multiple different textures?
  7. The process is basically following the numbers in the screenshot: [If anything is unclear let me know] (The objects you want to connect do not have to touch each other, they can be far apart) After step (5) you can pick objects in the views (7) that will then be listed under (6), sorry for that mixup
  8. (Mod) AMPS Development Thread

Sorry to hear that, but I think simmer has given you some very valid advice. Sometimes a project can seem overwhelming especially when tackling it without a team. Taking a step back to get a more distant view and some perspective of your problem might help. There is no pressure and good things take time
  9. I think unfortunately there is not...I hope to stand corrected by someone. What I usually do is add "nite_" before multiplying the window so then every copy of the box already has this naming convention. You can use the "select by name" option to select your shapes more easily. You can also group them, but to my experiance adding the "nite_" tag to a group does not lite all members of the group up. You could combine all objects you want to lite to one object, which in my experiance is very unhandy in case you want to move one window later or such. @Simmer2 @mattb325 these pros might know better...
  10. hm... that is actually pretty easy. You can use the "select object" Tool (5th from the left of your screenshot, the mouse arrow) and click on any object. Now you see the name of this object on the right (in your screenshot "mesh1902") under "name and Color" what you would do is simply klick there and name it "nite_mesh1902" and then it is light at night.
  11. Not sure if I broke my BAT... From one second to the next I could not rotate objects anymore using the the arrows and dragging the mouse in any direction. rotataion still works typing in values the arrow lights up when clicking and dragging, but no rotation happens in all dimensions other drag options with the arrows still work like moving an object the usually red right-click option menu is now green-gray and holds less options OH EDIT: Oh boy, I am one lucky guy... I figured out that it was caused from changing the language of my operating system! I reversed it and BAT works flawless again! Crazy.

Gear Box for wind turbine with 2 planetary stages and one spur gear stage (ca 2-3MW). The side with the big low speed shaft is connected to the mainshaft seen above. The high speed shaft side drives the generator. Manufacturers like winergy, Eickhoff and Lohman & Stolterfoht produce these: Also an important sparepart for your company @Kloudkicker
  13. Show us What you're Working On

This would be a main bearing assembly of a wind turbine. The polished shaft end is connected to the low speed shaft of the gearbox with a shrink disc and the wide end with the half moon discs is going to be connected to the hub holding up the whole rotor star. The blue rings carry the first and second main bearing. The bearing houeses have feet that are mounted on the main frame. This component assembly may need changing if a bearing has a damage. Companies like yours should have one in their yard as a spare part. I will make gear boxes, bearing and generators as well...

I could make you some turbine components for your WTG maintenance service provider, if you are interested.

    Version 1.1.1

    1,576 Downloads

There are three files available for download now: A_1P_SimWorkers_1.zip (Scale 1:1, this is actually a little small for the Maxis world) A_1P_120_SimWorkers_1.1.zip (Scale 5:6, these are a little bit bigger and fit in better with other props on your lots) A_1P_120_SimWorkers_1.1.1_MMP.zip which allowes you to use the rescaled models as MMPs! (is dependent on file 2.) Description: These are some SimWorkers to bring a little bit of action to your lots. I decided to start with 3 different groups each consisting of 8 sims, for this first pack: • Factory/Harbor Personnel (neon reflective jacket, yellow helmet) • Construction Workers (orange jacket+pants, white helmet) • Offshore Workers (red life suit, neon life vest, black harness, white helmet) Content: This File contains one .dat-File with 24 different props: Harbor/Factory Workers ▪ A_1P_HarborWorker#1 ▪ A_1P_HarborWorker#2_lifting ▪ A_1P_HarborWorker#3_grinding ▪ A_1P_HarborWorker#4_sweeping ▪ A_1P_HarborWorker#5_readingPlan ▪ A_1P_HarborWorker#6_toolbox ▪ A_1P_HarborWorker#7_carrying ▪ A_1P_HarborWorker#8_welding Construction Workers ▪ A_1P_ConstructionWorker#1 ▪ A_1P_ConstructionWorker#2_hammering ▪ A_1P_ConstructionWorker#3_surveyor ▪ A_1P_ConstructionWorker#4_surveyor-assi ▪ A_1P_ConstructionWorker#5_wheelbarrow ▪ A_1P_ConstructionWorker#6_wackerplate ▪ A_1P_ConstructionWorker#7_shovel ▪ A_1P_ConstructionWorker#8_smoking Offshore Workers ▪ A_1P_OffshoreWorker#1 ▪ A_1P_OffshoreWorker#2_winching (has to be placed under helicopter or crane) ▪ A_1P_OffshoreWorker#3_cranebags (has to be placed under helicopter or crane) ▪ A_1P_OffshoreWorker#4_kneeling ▪ A_1P_OffshoreWorker#5_climbing ▪ A_1P_OffshoreWorker#6_impactwrench ▪ A_1P_OffshoreWorker#7_linehandeling ▪ A_1P_OffshoreWorker#8_pullinglever Dependencies: • none Instructions: This is a prop file! The content must be placed on your lot using a lot-editor! Unzip and place in (work-) plugin folder, place in plugin folder once used in a lot file, eg.: C:\Users\<USER>\Documents\SimCity 4\Plugins Note: I have set the height of the Sims to 1,8m + PPE (personal protective equipment) coming up to 1,9m. Therefor they are more realistic in size compared to other small props like cars etc. They seem to be smaller than other already existing people props though.
  17. Show us What you're Working On

Oh, just the same files, when you klick "download" you get the option to download the MMP.dat that you need to put in the plugin folder to the props.dat. See red text in the beginning of the description and version history.
  18. Show us What you're Working On

All SimWorker Packs are available as MMPs now! Hope that helps a few people who don't want to use the lot editor to place props.
  19. Show us What you're Working On

Haha, I hear you, don't worry there will be no exclusively green Sims. But orange with green as seen in the picture above. https://www.engelbert-strauss.de/schnittschutz-latzhosen/forst-schnittschutz-latzhose-basic-3320340-85179-259.html?itemorigin=SEARCH probably way more orange than the ones from engelbert strauß, but something like that...
  20. Show us What you're Working On

I'd suggest green and orange clothing in terms of texturing:
  21. Show us What you're Working On

Thanks for remembering! rsc204 made a nice tutorial and I managed to get it done!
  22. Show us What you're Working On

Hm... I am not sure if you can post them on my profile or anything... I am definitely to nooby to have a thread, the only thing I am accetably good at is modeling ; ) but feel free to post the pictures as a comment to one of the published packs of workers
  23. Show us What you're Working On
