To clarify, the addon you mean is BSC CAN-AM for SimGoober's canal, available on LEX. They add basic stations from passenger to cargo. Thanks.

As I know, Gshmails creates some growable empty lots. You can check more at https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=907.msg24162#msg24162. Growable empty lots might causing problems you experienced. Thanks.

Lunar New Year Discount is Nice, But...

No, not that. If you worry, just delete the topic. I feeling the same feeling as you so I can't say it detail. Sorry for inconvenience. Thanks. -
Lunar New Year Discount is Nice, But...
Propfam replied to Propfam's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Sorry for that. But, it's better to use original non-problematic product rather than using problematic product. Second, it's not just for me, for everyone. Thanks. -
This is not ideal. You should place your raw plugins (for instance installers and zips) to separate directory. This is already stated in my article: And, continued with Thanks.

If you want back to the basics, don't forget to check this Omnibus article: Thanks.

Yes, they (some) do. Replacement for Maxis buildings is whether relots or just BAT changes (this is lesser than relot). Thanks.

Why Maxis Didn't Implement Detailed Mayor Rating?
Propfam posted a topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Hello, I've questions regarding Mayor Rating: Why Maxis named Mayor Rating as such? Why not Happiness (although it's available in the translation) index? Why Maxis didn't implemented detailed Mayor Rating system in SimCity 4 like SimCity (2013) and Bhutan's GNH (yes, Bhutanese gov uses GNH to measure it's populations instead of just focusing on GDP) and implemented it as Citizen Opinion Poll? I think SC4's MR isn't implemented realistically. Thank you. -
No, it's not I mean. I mean, where is the city hall tree 'bug' fix. The tree in the city hall is chose random but MMP addition makes the selection weird. For example, if you had bulldozer MMP, the City Hall might chose that 'tree' and making the City Hall unpleasant. Thanks.

How about the city hall tree fix? I had found it but I forgot the place.

I chose the tracker approach due to less effort implement it to the site. In fact, the tracker can be implemented with a library, unlike the mod manager approach which require access to the file database. Although it's backed with scientific proofs, I can't say this to anyone because anyone is different. I'm intentionally separating this post from the first post because I wanted more separation of concern. Thanks.

simcity 4 Sharing Plugins Folders - Discussion
Propfam replied to Haljackey's topic in SC4 - Custom Content
Sharing plugins isn't dead. Support us by voting and share your thoughts here: The topic isn't duplicate of this topic. Instead, it's companion. Thanks. -
To clarify, I've only copy the content of SC4ever.com, not the SC3000.com one but still on the same network: Wren Weburg's SC3000.com network. But the way, thanks for your input! I'll copy the SC3000.com ones. Thanks

simcity 4 Sharing Plugins Folders - Discussion
Propfam replied to Haljackey's topic in SC4 - Custom Content
In order to end the endless discussion of sharing plugins problem and without disrespect any opinions, I've created whitepaper on sharing plugins. You can find it here: or, if you're want direct link, you can go to the really long URL: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qFRcXjq0sczpSrzz1hR6TlcV4jR7EAquiVL5mRXZ4-M/edit?usp=sharing. Thanks. -
Hello everyone, I want introduce my first file on STEX also the first SC3000.com file uploaded on the STEX. That's SimCity 3000 Fractal Terrain Generator. Originally, the file created by Roger W Dunn. The real functionality of the tool is unknown. So, if you've SimCity 3000 and want to generate a new terrain without the default, you can try this.

simcity 4 Sharing Plugins Folders - Discussion
Propfam replied to Haljackey's topic in SC4 - Custom Content
How about repacking mods from exchanges. Yes, it's requiring owner's or admin permission but it's greatly improve the installation process. I've suggested the more decentralized system using blockchain (there are even open-source APIs for that). But, my suggestion will require communication to the site database. The benefit here is there's no app needed to download the dependencies since the site communicates each other. For instance, if you want to download KOSC Superparking Sudden Valley texture you'll need to download Sudden Valley from the LEX. But, you don't have to go to the LEX. The site will communicate with LEX and it will download the file from the LEX and will be written to a shared ledger, contains downloaded files and it's downloader (don't worry, it's anonymous like Bitcoin). But, my suggestion will need site revamp, which is not all site can do it, including us. So, I accept your suggestion as long as the system doesn't require separate database because if we dependent to a database and we don't have any other plan, our data will lose. Thanks. -
Hello, I've installed my SimCity 4 on my Fedora 27 with Wine 3.0. After setting up the shortcut and clicking it, it works but the DirectX renderer can't run and showing the rare "Can't initialize Direct Draw". After clicking OK, the game goes to the software renderer. It's rare because lots of people get either graphical glitch or even a CTD. My Wine comes with DirectX 10 & 11 support and improved DirectWrite and Direct2D, and I installed DirectX. What is the cause of this? Thanks.

Around 1 hour ago, a 6.1 Richter earthquake hitting Jakarta, capital city of Indonesia. Even, there's a hashtag (#gempa) for it on Twitter (and may Instagram too). Here's a news of it: And, here's the update: This earthquake might have the continuation, so spread out this news especially if you have Indonesian friends and/or families. Don't forget to share this guide (in Indonesian of course) to prevent any casualties or injuries. Thanks. Note: I've forgot places to post events. Move this thread to the appropriate topic.

Can you create a short step by step guide of full installing of the game?
Propfam replied to Dreamerrrrrr's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
There's another place to download basics, Yes, this doesn't contain many mods (due to time) but I hope more mods being added myself. -
What Should I Learn First, Graphic & Web Design or 3D Art?
Propfam posted a topic in General Off-Topic
Hello, I want to help society (seriously) by creating innovations, including making contributions to SimCity 4 communities (not just ST, but all communities). So, I want to learn between graphic design and 3D art and coding. But, I'm in 8th grade, which's mean I don't know about advanced physics etc. I've questions: What should I learn first, graphic & web design or 3D art or both (since I interest on both but I've limited focus, just like you)? What benefits from them each (graphic designers can design invitations while 3D artists can create 3D animation)? Is it true that graphic & web design boring than 3D art? Where the good Inkscape and GIMP courses? I can't find them, but there's the good Inkscape & GIMP tutorials at Nick Saporito YouTube channel. Sorry if I have mistakes & this (maybe) bad questions. Thanks. -
Hello, Dependency tracker speeds up mod download, so LEX added dependency tracker since 2013 and getting better with more mods compatible with the system. This isn't case for STEX. STEX, which is using Files module included within IPS is hard to mod. Even, the staff has rejected the idea due to lack of developers. There are questions: We need something can code sites. Are we ready to recruit some? Is using wrapper ideal? Thanks.

Can you use HTML on it? Try to use <span style="color: #F5BC66;">Sim Master</span> Or, you add .simmaster class if not already added. .simmaster { color: #F5BC66; } And use <span class="simmaster">Sim Master</span> to add colored "Sim Master".
