  2. When I load a game, my subway networks ofter appear slightly less underground than they should - in underground view, the top of the tunnel is visible above a station block. For el rail <-> subway connections, this results in the el rail seemingly running into grass. Rebuilding a subway tile fixes it for some distance around the tile I replaced, but it recurs when I reload the game.

    Is there a way to build an orthogonal road viaduct over sunken diagonal rail? The onslope transitions seem to only work on an orthogonal slope.

    I'm looking for Gizmo's train car props: NameBrand-TrainProps-V3.dat and Misc-TrainCarProps-V9.dat. A search turns up a link to a site which seems to have gone down ~6 months ago.
  5. I found the direct cause, I think. I had a max-size at-capacity SimGoober heliport on the rail line in the glitched city between the neighbor connection and the first station. Bulldozing it seems to have fixed the issue. IIRC, the heliport is transit-enabled for rail and is not a station. Any idea why that would cause an issue, and is this still the right place to ask about this issue?
  6. I have 2 decent-sized cities, linked by a rail line. On one side, there's 47,000 or so people going to the other city. On the other side, there are *zero* people coming in along the rail line. The city with the issue has also had an issue where plopping another air bus airport doesn't have any effect at first, because there is a long delay before the newly-plopped airport gets any traffic at all. I think the issues may be linked. Any idea about the cause?

    I'd like to request Road over STR overpasses and FLUPs under STR underpasses. Also, FLUPs under diagonal rail intersections (so I can have roads crossing while passing under a diagonal rail line), and T under orthogonal rail with the stem of the T going off to the side (i.e. an underpass is running under and parallel to the rail, and a road branches off to the side).

    Thanks for the help with that. Another question: What's the best way to get a grade-separated crossing of road and STR? 7.5m viaduct seems too short, but that's the only viaduct that seems to have an STR crossing. 15m instead changes it to a dual-track rail. FLUPs doesn't seem to have underground route/STR.

    I had the same texture thing happen when I had RRW. And I'm not sure if you guys saw in my post (I mentioned it in passing), but when RRW was enabled, Alt+R did not work as a shortcut to the street tool.

    The NAM has many interdependence. When you make a change such as this, you need to rerun the installer and deselect the RRW from there. That's what you should do now. Folders and files should not be inserted or deleted directly; the installer should always be left to do this. That worked; without RRW, STR intersects fine with streets and roads. In addition, removing RRW made Alt+R work again to draw streets; before I removed it, Alt+R hadn't been working.

    Try removing the RRW and see what happens... I removed the "RealRailway" folder from the NAM folder. Now, the whole network has no texture, dragging rail along it has the same dark yellow square, and the STR starter piece has a broken texture (RGBK squares).

    Sorry that I posted this in its own thread as well, but that was before I saw this thread. When I try to create a crossing between a road and single track rail, two things happen. First, when I drag the road over the rail, it highlights the crossing square in dark yellow: Once I create it, the square then disappears. There's nothing visible but crossbucks, and DrawPaths shows no paths there: UDI and automata stop at the blank square; emergency dispatch cannot cross it. What's going on, and is it fixable?
  13. I have NAM 32, with RAM, which includes STR. When I try to draw an STR network with a grade crossing with a street or road, it highlights the square in dark yellow when dragging the network, and then once it's built, the tile is blank. It still has the crossbuck props, but there's no visible network, automata on both networks stop and disappear at the crossing, and DrawPaths shows no arrows crossing it. Any clue why?
  14. Is there a way to adjust the unlock conditions for Maxis rewards? I'm trying to remove the "medium or hard" condition from the spaceport, and tried editing the LUA script, but it didn't seem to work.

    Sheerterror, I can think of no reason this should need NAM or anything in Rush Hour. So, it should work. Not having SC4 vanilla, I can't try it, but it costs noting to test it out.
