    Ah yes, the old "it helps pay the bills" excuse. Really though, it's a great way for the game company to make more money while charging you the same price. I don't know the status of ads in this particular game; I haven't really been interested in it, and I don't usually play subscription-based games. Myself I dislike ads in games. They're intrusive enough in everyday life, I don't need them when I'm trying to relax. Edit: I might also add that a PC game that has ads should provide a method to replace/remove them for those who care enough (such as texture replacement, which might only appear client-side).
