    Five stars, been waiting for this one for awhile!! Thank you.     Can you maybe post a more clear description of how the spacing works? I know that obviously putting down a small density street next to an avenue will create enough room for one large building. It gets a little murky when you go to place med/high roads near avenues/streetcars or avenues near avenues...
  2. Natural Parks

      Agreed. I just select the parks button so it floats an icon over all the parks. Makes it pretty easy to locate them. Thanks for pointing this out.       Yep. I just meant people should keep it in mind because I was attempting to build something that wouldn't plop and I couldn't figure out why. Finally zoomed in and saw the park. Now I know to bring up the parks menu when this happens.

    Works as stated. I love it.   My only SMALL complaint (which is really more of a problem with the parks the game offers and not this mod at all), and really just more of an FYI for people to keep in mind is that sometimes it can make parks (especially the small medium wealth "short/long tree row" parks) a little hard to see if you're like me and plop trees all over your map.

  5. Radiactive land

    I've got a city I'm playing right now where a meteor fell right on a landmark and left a radiation spot. It's right in the middle of my downtown and it has been 15 years with no sign of dissipating. So annoying.
  6. The College kills my Education

    I've tried this. It doesn't work. Also the number of Sims that show as attending school when I click the school does not match what shows at the bottom of the screen when I click the education button. There is a bug with the game. I have regions where NOBODY goes to school no matter what I do.

    Sometimes when you use tunnels you can still zone fully sized lots on top of it depending on what kind of layout you use.

    I noticed that in some of my cities recycle, garbage and trade trucks all disappeared from my maps. I had to go into building edit mode, delete the truck modules from her respective building and replop them. Kind of annoying but a small price to pay to end the annoying bus clumping.. that doesn't seem to be happening any more. I also noticed that the issue with seeing terrain over roads when zoomed out still isn't completely fixed. This doesn't really bother me all that much, though...

  10. Busses & City Services cars

    This is beyond annoying. I tried deleting my bus depot to see if I could "reset" my bus system but I still had over 50 driving around my city single file. I've also noticed that sims will gather at bus stops and then disperse without even getting on a bus. I see the same thing happen with school bus stops. Not only that, but when you click on some stops it will show a ridiculously high number of people using the stop. And depending where you look "wait times" are always displayed different.
  11. Highway Traffic Problems

    I tried it and it's definitely better now, even with more inhabitants, but still not quite what it should be... Any other ideas? How did you balance out your low wealth unemployed? I've tried getting low wealth sims in my cities but I can't seem to get much below medium wealth.
  12. Update 6.0

    Got another problem since the update: students suddenly DISAPPEAR. I have adequate bussing in my cities and minimal traffic but my education level has fallen and skill levels are dropping. When I turn on the education data layer it shows almost no students, and even less "not attending." Yet I keep getting alerts telling me to build more schools, low skill level. Also when I open the population map it shows hundreds or thousands of students depending on the city, with around half not enrolled. So annoying. No matter what I'm specializing in I try to offer basic education. Another thing: having a problem with too many low wealth jobs. Never noticed this before but it may not be a bug.. might just be the particular region I'm working on and the way I've built it...

    I actually like this. I guess you can't please everyone. There should just be an option to disable it. or toggle it while you have the park tool open. I mostly don't like it because I use one of the parks to space my roads and it makes it difficult to see.

    I've got a city I had pre-6.0 that had 82% approval and pretty even balance of jobs and population. Now I have thousands of unfilled jobs yet people are leaving because they cannot find shopping. Approval rating has dropped to 52%. I can't STAND the fact that land value map shows when placing parks now either. Wish there was an option to turn it off. One other thing I'm noticing is that buildings are displaying "not enough room to increase density" notices even though there is more than enough room for them to do so.....

    I don't notice that the crime problem is any better. Or traffic. Also it seems like buildings are taking much longer to build than they were before. Perhaps the biggest problem though is that some of my missions aren't getting counted as fulfilled even though I'm completely them. For example: in my trade city I had a mission to earn $100,000 from oil exports. I was exporting plenty of oil but it still kept saying 0....

  17. What triggers traffic?

    I have found that zoning on avenues like it appears you've done above, triggers bad traffic problems, especially after you get over 40k people. It's a shame because zoning on avenues is the most aesthetically pleasing, IMO. Especially when you start running streetcars. It seems like Maxis meant for the avenues to function more as interstates than inner-city avenues.

    Having the same issue in one of my cities that only has 30k people in it but is starting to falter due to traffic caused by stuck vehicles. I just stopped playing until the next patch comes out.

    "• New: More detailed rollover information on buildings telling player’s if their Sims received happiness from a park or from shopping. Previous to this fix, this information was generic. " I am not seeing anything different here. Maybe I just didn't pay that much attention to it before....?

  21. Corrupted Cities?

    I am receiving this message on one of my cities today. I've tried exiting, rebooting my computer, etc. Going to be really disappointed if I lose an entire city tile on my map....
  22. Another thing I'd like to see is a fix for the issue where, when trying to upgrade roads, some roads are "broken" into tiny pieces (I notice this always occurs in front of the police stations). Very annoying and often leads to tiny blocks of road that never get upgraded...

  24. Gridlines with 3.0?

    I really appreciate the help. Gotta say what a pain in the neck, though. With such small maps, maximizing space is critical, and not having the ability to do perfect grids is frustrating me. :angry:
