  1. I did that and it works, I will slowly start putting the plugins back in and see if there is any more issues (I hope not)
  2. SimCity 4, why don't you want to run?

  3. I tested loading a existing city and also with a empty region, either way, the game crashed when loading a city tile, and the graphics are adjusted to my preferred settings. I don't know what to do next about this issue. Also, could my computer be the issue? It is about 3 years old running Windows 7, I recently cleaned and defragmented the disc. I installed the game under the X86 Program Files, which from what I've read on other posts, it should be installed under the regular program files.
  4. I updated to 1.1.640.0, but it still is being uncooperative. Here's another report Exception time: 12/01/2013, at 13:23:58. Exception code: 0xC0000005 (-1073741819) ACCESS_VIOLATION. 5. Well, the affinity didn't help, so here is my latest exception report from today: Exception time: 12/01/2013, at 12:02:41. Exception code: 0xC0000005 (-1073741819) ACCESS_VIOLATION. 6. My computer has a quad core, so I need to tinker with it to not be too overpowering for SC4. (I have the deluxe edition so the NAM compatibility isn't an issue).
  7. I recently just got back to SC4 from a 6 month break, and whenever I try to load a city, the game just crashes. I recently also added the update package to my game so I can get NAM 31 to work properly. I need help to figure out how to get it up and running again without having to re-install everything (preferably this is my worst case scenario). I also tried running it in compatibility mode with XP service 2 and XP service 3. Do I need to change something with the program file's properties to get it to work?
  8. Laguna Province (Beta version)

Um, you should take a look at some other maps to get hot it's made, then practice using there techniques in a empty plain region and learn how to create different land-forms and coastlines and whatnot. I tried that, and it takes a while, but it's a good skill to have. Once you feel ready to make a realistic map, take your time and make sure you did it right. It will be a better result.
  9. Maxisland 2.0 aka Santa Bella

Looks like this is an ideal map for me, it has high elevated areas as well as several natural harbors, and it has a big island in the middle (I like building cities on islands for some reason)
  10. Looks awesome, this can fit into an inter-city area nicely!
  11. SemiTruckTrailer MOD

Awesome! Now I can drive a Scania ion my cities!
  12. DAMN-NAM

This will make the lives of everyone using NAM easier for sure, instead of having to scroll through the pieces all the time.
  13. Last brook, the village at the head of Cedar valley.

Reminds me of the tiny little towns here in New England.
  14. Turtles

    Love it, 10/10!
  15. How I design cities is to plan to have a large city in the middle of small cities and towns around it, and outside those are even smaller towns and villages. Sometimes if I have a medium or large sized map I start off with a small village surrounded by large farms. If it's landlocked, I throw in another village or two connected by an Avenue or a 2 lane highway. If it's on a river or along a coast, then I do the process that Prophet does, have a town surrounded by farms, and as it gets bigger, the town expands on the farms and after awhile there is little to no farms. Then I put in an Industrial area near a seaport, connected by rail (frees the roads from tons of trucks). When this city has roughly around 40,000 people in it, I'd put in a landing strip outside town. When a city hits over 200,000. I build a custom airport on an adjacent map (I'll have more room for the airport, and the city itself) and connect the two with a highway. Over time, your city will get cloged with cars, I plan my cities on a grid and put in many bus stops and Rapid Transit stations. and remeber to have the city covered with Police and Fire protection circles.
