Welcome to the mold of the high school football stadium of America. Two out of three times, especially in the south, you'll see a field like this in every town, to some scale. Park this out behind the local high school or small college, or build a sportsplex around it. Finally, I'm out with a football field! Of course, with my extremely poor lighting skills, you won't be having any friday night games. Try and squeeze them in on saturday morning, until I figure out how to nightlight. Turf looks weird. One part of that was intentional. More and more fields are switching over to an artificial turf, so you get something like this. But since it's a small field, not completely walled in, I didn't want to have a seam between my grasses and the maxis grasses, so I limited it only to the field. And if it means anything, it looks much better zoomed out in the game than it does in this pic. I was also trying out having the red running track, but it just looks horribly tacky in SimCity. I'm sticking with asphalt for now. But enough apologizing. No dependencies $22000 to plop Appears under Landmarks 20 units of power, no water No pollution 10x7 space occupied RIP Sean Taylor -

Introducing - two forces of destruction perfect for accomplishing absolutely nothing in your city, but will work prefect for CJs involving it, war, or anything in between! Includes a regular atomic bomb, and a massive, radiation-spreading bomb, to keep you residents thrilled. Riiiiight. Atomic Bomb: Takes out an area of 9x9 tiles in all directions, spreads fire around the rims of the blast zone, and emits no radiation. Radiation Bomb: Fills virtually your entire city with radiation after a small blast, giving all buildings an abandoned look, and also causing EVERYONE to leave town. Both have minimal statistics; 1 to plop, 1 to demolish, monthly cost of 1, etc. They produce 50 pwr, but obviously, I wouldn't recommend using them long term. The bombs will explode on the first day of the next month, and you may have to be zoomed in to one of the closest levels for it to occur properly. I know that I already uploaded a bomb here, but it didn't have 'bomb' in the title. This is for people who want the new radiation as well, or will put Bomb into a search. They wouldn't have found the old file. Enjoy...Mr. Bigglesworth will be watching. And rate the frickin file! -

A shiny new baseball field for your citites. Almost everything I've learned so far has been incorporated into this field to make it look as solid as possible; hopefully, the best baseball stadium of its size on the Exchange that I'm made yet. Lots of seating around the bowl, second-deck seating beneath the luxury boxes, several sections of benches in the outfield, and plenty of party and group areas. Includes lots of parking, non-functional lights, and plenty of trees. Plop this anywhere you want! Cost: about $30,000 Little power or water Lot size: 9x13 No pollution Appears under Landmarks No dependencies! Have fun! (And please comment if anything is wrong!) -

Currently the tallest building in downtown Baltimore, and only about a block away from the Inner Harbor, the Legg Mason Building stands 30+ floors and about 539 feet tall. Constructed when the building stage around the area was at its peak, it may not be the most glamorous thing ever built, but it serves its purpose in the area well. Functions as a Landmark. Cost: 37,000 Cost Monthly: 175 Bulldoze Cost: 7300 Wealth: Medium Dependencies: BSC Texture Packs 1-4, I think there is a mega pack out there... Please report any big problems asap. Thank you! -

BAT - Troubleshooting & General Discussion
scba replied to Jasoncw's topic in SC4 BAT & Lot Workshop
I'm getting all kinds of headaches. Haven't opened up the BAT in almost a year, and I've lost the ability to texture. Right now, I'm trying to make a tennis court. I could swear that I'm doing all of the steps correctly, and it looks fine - up until I export. And then all the lines on the grass start going all inverted and diagonal and twisted, etc in the render preview. Don't understand what would be causing this, since I'm not using any rigs/lights or anything. -

SMURF TURF ALERT. Someone threw Hornet Stadium in the rinse cycle, and came out with this. Do not adjust your screens; the legend of the blue turf lives on. The only other artifical turf color that seems reasonable, it's become the white whale of football fields in America. Famously, only the infamous field at Boise State University can claim to featuring blue in the college ranks, and after that, only a high school in Texas and another in Alaska sport the lovely blues, as far as I can see. Make a statement about your city (and beat Oklahoma, please.) Size: 10x9 Cost: $22000 Power: 40 Water: 10 No pollution Appears under Landmarks No dependencies Enjoy!- 11 Comments

A new football stadium, with something a little different built into it. Could be a good size for a team at any level anywhere in your nation. Two lines of parking, and a scattering of deciduous trees shouldn't prevent you from plopping it in any setting. Enjoy! Size: 10x9 Cost: $22000 Power: 40 Water: 10 No pollution Appears under Landmarks No dependencies Warning ahead of time: There's a bad side to this stadium. I've been hiding how un-talented of a BAT-er I am, but decided to go for it with the curving hillside. A long, long time later, I had to cut my losses and just dump what I had here (and even then, it looked better in GMAX than it did one I exported it) So I'll recognize that the north hill and the edges are eyesores. Like a bad christmas tree, just turn it into the corner, and don't cycle through different views. I'll be making another stadium soon without the silly hill. Just wanted to try something new. (The roof texture also isn't great; that siding never turns out right.)- 15 Comments

All of the schools/places of education sharply drop in capacity and radius with each month for seemingly no reason. Usually about 25%, all the way down to zero within a year. This just started today. Before I played, I'd created a new high school, and edited the values of one of the elementary schools that I had already made, and had already placed in the game. But ALL eduaction values, even on Maxis buildings, are having this issue. Pretty distracting. Any suggestions?

All right, thanks.

Heh, all right, let me re-fire. If I delete all of the changed lots in the city that I'm working in right now, and just that city, will I be okay re-plopping in that city? Or do I have to cleanse and get rid of all the schools that were changed in ALL of my cities in the regions, ending it all at once.

So bulldoze all of that particular lot, or all of the education lots? And are we talking everywhere, or just in whatever city I'm in, fixing as I go?
