  1. Eclipse Tower

There's something supremely evocative about this building.

I've seen many lists that place MIT above both Oxford and Cambridge as well. Ironically published by a Brittish college.
  3. The Capital of the World!

I wouldn't have voted for Chicago even if it were on there, but how could you not include it, but include Toronto....or Auckland? Most of those cities aren't even "Alpha Class". My vote goes to NYC, but only because I haven't been to London. And Il Tonkso, I think they meant in population, not area for size comparisons. Perhaps I should vote for Boston, being that it's the educational Mecca of the world.....having the most concentration of world-class universities.
  4. Intercity Commuter Rail

I think much of it is about balancing their commutes. As a rule, if I remember correctly (game mechanics program rule, not guideline) sims don't like to 'walk' more than 8 tiles to almost any destination. That being said, your bus/train stations/subway stations should be placed accordingly. You have to think about density and how many cars you want to clog up the streets. If you don't want many auto traffic, you must build many stations of multiple transit options - like NY/London/Chicago. If you want a more auto oriented city, like LA, make sure you have ample avenues and roads to counter train stations that are placed much further apart. Take this with a grain of salt, (because it's a game, not real life) but try and think of your transit system like it is in real life - it will give you the big picture and answer many questions. Use real cities as models.
  5. PARIS Odeon Theatre

    Speechless......no words......should've hired a poet.
  6. NAM

Date: 2/6/2006 12:43:01 AM Author: dave601 I would say that SimCity 4 is arguably unplayable without it. It makes the game far more realistic than it previously was. I would highly recommend it. quote> I would like to continue that argument and say that SimCity 4 is now unplayable without Simtropolis. Yes,that sounds pathetic and cliche', but oh well. I don't want to criticize Maxis too much because, after all, they developed the game to begin with. However, they must begin to realize that not all cities look like L.A.
  7. Rail Trestle Over Avenue

All of these lots are exactly what I've been looking for - in style, color, and function. Thank you.
  8. Blains Farm and Fleet

    This is so awesome.
  9. Dune windtrap

Awesome, but technically, shouldn't it be a water pump?
  10. MBTA Transportation Set

And Thank You For Riding The "T"!
  11. Grass Lots Slope and trees compatible

I think it's very useful, as you can't place trees on the better fence lots out there.
