Thanks, guys! Heblem's sand is exactly what I was looking for. I couldn't find Heblem's ploppable rocks, though. Are they on the STEX? I looked under his name and could only find his rock mods.

Recently I've been playing around with Jeronij's transparent ploppable water. I've gotten it to look pretty good, but I'm not sure if this is the best I can do. The lake itself looks pretty good, but around the shores it starts to look a little strange. Now, it doesn't look too bad but I'm not sure I can't do better. The reason it looks that way is because I use progressively smaller water pieces along the shoreline, but if I don't do that I end up with gaps in my lake or a lumpy shoreline. So, tell me... how do you place ploppable water?

Best slope mod for a hilly terrain?
Ragamuffin replied to grstudios's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
I recommend using Ennedi's as well. It's served me faithfully. Things will be much more difficult to get right with a slope mod, but in the end your region will look much more realistic. Good luck! -
Sounds like a great idea. The Youtube format sounds a little weird. It seems like it would work out better as an article, but maybe you could make it work.

Yep... GLR can be a long and arduous process to put down, but if you have the patience, you can do great things with it. Your suburb looks pretty good. The only thing I don't like is that the roads are more jumbled than the side streets. Usually the roads are straighter and the side streets tend to be more random. NAM comes with some diagonal streets that look and work great if you want to liven up the side streets. When I can't find any inspiration, I look at some suburbs in Google Earth. As far as aesthetics work, you're on the right track!

Yeah. Rule number one is to always get the dependencies. It might be a bit of a hassle but you'll have big problems without them.

Glad to help. Let me know how it works out for you!

If you're looking for sidewalk greenery, the SFBT Street Tree Mod is your best bet. The default streets are bare and ugly. This mod will spruce things up and make your city look a lot greener. You'll have to register at the SC4D LEX if you haven't already to download it. I think there are a few other street tree mods but that one is definitely my favorite. It'll give a whole new look to your cities.

I think Pegasus' CDK Tutorial is what you're looking for. It's based around his Coastal Development Kit but it will teach you the finer arts of shorecrafting.

Very cool! I'd love to visit there sometime. -
I just read through the whole topic and I have to say, everything looks really impressive! Here's some dense industry from my city, New Spork City:

Mega-lots (like the airport, country club, etc) are bugged and will always plague you with crime. I'd suggest downloading a crime mod on the STEX. Crime Doesn't Pay is a good one. I can't bring myself to play without it.

Where are the official patches (Simcity4 Deluxe)?
Ragamuffin replied to dg1290a's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
You can find it on SC4Devotion. Scroll down a bit and you'll see it.
