Either I'm rubbish at the game, or its a glitch - Why does this happen!?
nukeu123 replied to poshbakerloo's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
it appears that A. you reached the demand cap, where every thing is stuck in a way... to uncap place rewards, parks, apply more neighboring connections and start neighboring cities when i hit the cap for the first time i too thought i was bad, wrong! its just a method of making the game even more challenging. B. Judging by that demand meter, you do in fact have a mod called CAM, if you install CAM and play a city that original didn't, your demand will out of whack, either for the good or bad. -

Disable Auto Road
nukeu123 replied to Nuclear-ID's topic in SimCity (2013) Modding - Open Discussion
If you are referring to SimCity4 while zoning, Click and drag out the zone and press and hold one or more of the following keys Shift=disables street layout Alt=Alternative Direction Ctrl= forces One lot (biggest maxis lot is 4x4 for residential and commercial) you can also combine these keys together -
* sigh* i hate how corperations run this world these days EA.....when will you learn from your mistakes.......

assuming you are placing trees through the mayor mode, yes its normal for them to start small and it take longer than 5 years i do believe you could hold Ctrl+Alt+Shift and click on the God mode button This trick will allow Pre-Mayor God mode! even if you already established a city.

Bad plug-ins or clean reinstall needed?
nukeu123 replied to LivingInThePast's topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
i have a laptop with a similar issue. it only pulls this garbage on a rare occasion, but when ever i minimize and maximize the game i get a missing UI and unrendered things, minimizing again are maximizing fixes it, also switching between Hardware render to software seems to fix it, but it occurs so rarely that idk if i would consider it a confirmed solution it very well could be that the GPU is about to kick it, i found that almost all my graphics cards overheated at some point of there life time, both desktops and desecrate laptop cards. however I would think the effect would be more universal (not just sc4 but also other games/apps) EDIT: i would like to see the results of this test, but i do not have the time or will power to tear apart my laptop to replace a fully functional mxm card that's not broken -
Ohio GOP want to prohibit "gateway" talk in sex Ed classes
nukeu123 replied to Mr Saturn64's topic in Current Events
children (at a mature age) should absolutly learn and understand sexual reproductive origans functionality and saftey, i much rather have my children know the correct, and responsible way to "have fun" than that to have them suppressed and confused, and end up screwing up! These modern politics have come too far in personal rights, i say leave it up to the individual to make the decision on how the child should become educated, not the govt. -
What graphics card to get for SC4?
nukeu123 replied to dogma555's topic in SC4 Bugs & Technical Issues
well, considering SimCity 4 is about ten years old..... one would think that any card from today's market would do as long as its directx compatible. if there is a bug or issue regarding a new video card, there is always visualization aka vmware or virtual box -
with all honesty, i had a good laugh reading these comments, but seriously, Facebook games all have an unpleasant way of bringing in cash to the developers. manipulating game play to a time span to regain resource and spamming friends on the social network. or to pay a fee to instantly gain access to the resource required to play this absolutely worthless game. in my mind this is undoubtedly the worst thing that has come to the gaming industry history. so i say good riddance to SimCity Social

What are you looking more forward too?
nukeu123 replied to BeanBoy's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
neither, i plan on sticking with simcity 4 till the end of time... -
there is no such comparing sc4, for is its own entity only because we have billions of user made content, unlike sc2013! EDIT: and it was obvious from the beginning, EAxis had been aiming this game to the new/inexperienced players and not at all consider the hard-core simmer

Sim City Economics/politics - Beta
nukeu123 replied to 33percent's topic in SimCity (2013) General Discussion
actually, as far as economics, if you want more in depth control such as individual zone taxes, you must plop the finance offices upgrade in your City hall, which tells me they may slab ordinances or other controls(since the Finance office was only in one availiable in beta) but as for now, ordinances are not existant. this is not a beta, this is a 1hour demo.... there is a fine line of differences between the two t -
Im still quite neutral on the whole thing, i can understand the limitation of the rather "small" City tile, which some cant comprehend.subways, most likely a expansion or DLC <(god forbid). terraform, i could take or leave, i never had liked the in game terrain editor anyway. IMHO: its not bad, but certainly not at the expense of $60.00 USD. EDIT: The complexity and unrealism of increasing density is probably my least favorite turnoff

wanna ask a noobish question
nukeu123 replied to Burningsunz's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
1. all BATs downloaded from LEX, and a small sum for STEX Require CAM for those bats to Grow like maxis lots. on the same note make sure you have all dependencies and if the download comes with a grow-able lot at all. 2. i dont really get what you mean? if im read this right you can use the query tool on a commercial or industrial lot to view amount of workers 3.unfortunately, as far as im concern, the only way to exceed 4x4 zoning is by holding ctrl -
How do I make a bigger city?
nukeu123 replied to KanyeWest11's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
you could however utilize your neighboring cities to expand, because RCI Demand is region wide -
I already wrote all of the questions for you in the post #2. I suggest you to do all of those things, and don't easily trust advisers, they just give advises, but not ruling your city. You're the god, advisers can't stop you from doing things that you want. Post #2?? Where is this?? the first reply to this discussion....

he never said what industry specifically! he never mention his RCI stats! He failed to mention were hes placing the zones! like Residence and Commence, Industry has desirability to be satisfied as well. I-D and I-M like low value land and cant stand terrain slopes, while high tech needs to be treated like R-$$$, low polution, easy access between R and I zones, argriculture must be large,Flat zones with out near by Commerce or mass transit tiles. not to mention when your population hits a certain point, argriculture Demand becomes decimated for that city tile my question for you is: -Have do you, or do you not have Demand for such zones? -proper utilities (Water,Power,Garbage)? -desirability? -Proper transportation (R-Commute time and I-Freight time) -is your populous educated?(applies for high tech)

Australia braces for a scorcher with temperatures shooting past 40 degrees...
nukeu123 replied to ROFLyoshi's topic in Current Events
Most Canadians have become adept at converting temperatures. C to F is the easiest: Double it, subtract 10% and add 32. Since all but the most recent couple of generations grew up in F, most of us can handle either and are used to F temperatures. Everyone should consider ourselves lucky they didn't go to Kelvin. good god, i would be more worried about the entire world than just Australia
