  4. First college semester almost over, gaining understanding of city journals, and getting ready to build another airport. Great things coming

    Very nice concept. I like this one in particular because it looks realistic and it will fit in well with a sprawling urban environment. Plus this one isn't a cheat, it does its job at a price so it still keeps the game nice and challenging. Great job indeed!

    I like your Airport. Really like it, My airport is not realistic compared with yours. The only detail i find is the separation of the spotlines of the runways. Out from that It is perfect. Thank you very much. I am very much obsessed with commercial aviation so I made absolutely sure to make my airports as realistic as possible. I made the runways like that to get that first off-ramp as close as possible. Anyways thanks again

    It's been a little more than a year since I made this one, but I still think its the best one I've ever made. I made the video just shortly after completion so things are somewhat out of date, but I have made upgrades since then so now it looks a little more like the real thing. And yes I put a lot of effort into to make this airport look very much alive!!! Two quick comments though: 1.Due to space I couldn't incorporate runway the 5th runway 10/28 2.IMPORTANT- Because there were no Airtran 737's available I decided to use Westjet as a replacement. Just a few Current Statistics- Daily Passengers: Approx. 175000 sims Daily Cargo: Approx: 1800 departures/arrivals Daily Aircraft movements: Approx 1200 tons Now I can show screen caps of a more up to date version Looks like it's peak time for departures right now. Also looks like the aircraft maintenance crews are going to have a full schedule today Echo-terminal (International/Long-Haul Terminal) As you can see, to improve realism I added extra ground equipment. Charlie & Delta-Terminals (Regional for Delta, Domestic for "Airtran" and other airlines) Tango, Alpha, & Bravo Terminals (Domestic) Of Course I didn't forget that sims need hotels to stay overnight Well that's pretty much it. I will definitely be posting more airport pics soon. I just finished one and Im going to start work on another one soon. This next ones going to be somewhat different, so I decided to post my progress in the form of a city journal. Hope you liked, this is my first forum post ever soooo....yeah!!!

      The new airport is going to be somewhat different from what I am used to. I will use definitely show the development process in city journal. Just have to handle other work first

      Slight change in plans. Instead of just posting a screenshot of the finished airport, ill capture the process of building one. This one's design will be a more unique and will take every bit of my creativity

    Nicely done. The sims will definitely be pleased with the admirable realism along with interesting variety. This should definitely enhance those long commutes through extensive urban networks along their daily commute. Keep up the Great work mate!!

  17. Luckily my professors didnt decide to swamp me with work this week, and I have found the time to finalize another custom airport. After my last class, I will begin looking througth the help topics to learn how to post pics and what not. I would love to bring my airports into the light, only a little while longer

  18. If anybody has any helpful advice on how to become a more active and helpful member, please tell me :) I have missed out on alot of things over my almost year long break from SC4 and simtropolis. Dont like sitting on the side lines

      There's plenty of ways to get involved! Give honest feedback on STEX files, check out what goes on behind the scenes over at the BAT and modding open discussion forums, and see how it all comes into play over in the city journals section . Don't be afraid to give out reputation points, and start adding to your friends list. Above all, make sure every post counts! :)

  19. It's going to be a long process, but I am trying to become a more active member on this site. Somehow I managed to install SC4 on my laptop with Windows 7 without any problems, and I have begun to expand my region even further. I have also finished another Custom Airport which didnt come out as good as i had hoped, but its still great. I will try uploading pics of my airports to appropriate threads, but I've never worked a forum thread in my life and I am clueless at the moment, so it...

      Terribly sorry about the late reply, I've been getting used to college life and stuff... I wouldn't mind showing pics of my airports at all (just finished a new one yesterday) but I've never used a forum thread in my life so I have to learn how to work it. Any advice would be much appreciated because Im pretty much lost :/
