I noticed you're a Terraform-My-Own-Region kind of guy! With that region view you gave us you've spent a lot of time on it. I can't even imagine the patience i'd need to do what you're doing. You're a dedicated player I'll tell you that much. And that region view's developed areas are looking mighty nice too! You're also quite clever with those mobile phone images. Nice work adding supplementary content to your CJ!

I should have been keeping up with this ten pages ago! Your playstyle makes me think quite a bit of Italy or Sicily, is that right? And your attention to detail is very appealing, even the quaint, little scenes draw you in, make you explore every square yard of the images. And one more point to make is the nice surprise i got from seeing you use the NWM. It's so easy for me to forget about that nifty thing and when i see it in cities it makes a ton of difference for the quality of the image. Very nice work indeed.

Introducing the 15th Province Gilbertson Island ------ Recently added to the roleplay but saying it's always been there just cause, Gilbertson Island is off the west coast of Folland, sitting in between the Folland mainland and the Okanamapi Islands. The entire island is it's own Province and has a thriving rural populace with large towns along the coastline. (soon to be built) The entire island is connected to the mainland by a single crossing made up of two bridges. When the populated grew too high, Ferries alone couldn't do the job, so a project to bridge the gap with Highway was done to increase transportation. Serenity Memorial Crossing, or Serenity Memorial Bridge(s) were constructed in the late 1900s sometime after the Great Adonian War's end, and were named for the Wife of the Island's Governor, Serenity Tesh. It was originally her idea to build bridges and put it forward to the Chancellor, but died before it's completion due to an outbreak of Avian Flu. A plaque with her name and face hangs from the concrete towers of the Gilbertson Island-side bridge. The family is currently fighting a measure being debated, whether to build tolls to help pay for the bridges or not.

I love it Jon! You're a master at MMPs and thats a really great yet simple looking city. Are these inspired on the American Southeast? I wonder if that Mansion gets Cable and WiFi. -
Franklin County - 12th Anniversary Update, All-Nighttime Shots of New Riverside Downtown

Ooh yes very nice redesign of those on/off ramps. Man you've been running this CJ forever, almost 100 pages! We'll have to celebrate. It's great to see you still alive and kicking Pat. -
Good lord! You decorated the entire peninsula! That's a big feat to do in a city tile. The town looks very quaint and nice! I'd suggest though with a town center of all those midrises, I'd go and make the surrounding housing a little more dense.

Hey Forthie, can I just ask this. Can I go ahead and live in your journal? Preferably in one of those awesome Japanese homes nearby those awesome farms? Kthnxbai. Ohai again I just also want to say that you're doing just an awesome job. D: Am I using the word 'awesome' too many times? Well what do you expect, I'm in awe.

Is that a sarcastic statement? I'm surprised how fast this thread died. Halo's been reborn in amazing ways. Only beef I have with it is the fact you need to have a Gold membership in order to play the Spartan Ops missions, even by yourself.

Scariest level/boss in a video game you've done

Baby Bowser turned big Bowser in Yoshi's Island. That gave me nightmares I swear to God. -
My favorite isn't included here, even though it has Mario (baby mario) in it. Yoshi's Island!

Half-Life, the original version. So many a Headcrab hath fallen to my crowbar. The Black Mesa complete source remake, though, turned my supple cupcake of a love for the game into a glorified towering cake of sweet, sweet bliss.

More goodness I missed out on! I'll vote for Options '1' and 'B'. Now when you say northern riverbank, you mean, the north riverbank right? Expanding some development on the other side of the river will create the need for a nice bridge or two in the future.

08: When it's cold in Winter...
Follarch commented on Follarch's City Journal Entry in Republic of Folland
Thanks guys! I just absolutely love gettin SimCity into the spirit of Winter and all that white goodness. Although I like to remain realistic so I can only post these images once a year. Poo. -
Chances of Snow Showers Yes it's finally cold enough. Meteorologists have forecasted Snow along the foothills of the Lovise Mountains and even chances of showers at sea level. Commuters are advised to prepare appropriately for winter weather driving. The snow is predicted to fall sporadically throughout the next couple of days as arctic air from the south push up and remain over northwest and west central Folland. Showers have already stared at Hinali where the trees have begun to whiten. Pedestrians have flocked to the park to witness the Snowfall coincide with the Holiday lighting of the Goddess Statue. Definitely now a perfect scene for photos. Farther west in the foothills, the snow is heavier as clouds are forced to dump their moisture and the air is colder. Holiday boaters have made landfall near a rail bridge for the evening as a Folland Rail Freight passes over the river on it's way East. New Recruits at the Army Tank School practice with locally stationed Infantrymen in Winter weather training regimens.

Your images do not cease to amaze jordan, not at all. You make it look so easy to make something look so serene and gorgeous, and yet (to my experience) it's really hard! lol You're definitely one of the top notch city planners.

Ooh! Something new from you. 8D This is getting interestingly weird already. He's taken the gender switch and high heels rather well. Well I guess i could jump on the bandwagon? Name: Michael Domain(s): God of Reason, and Fables Gender: Male Who do they believe to be the main god: Believes Lyhoko could be it, but won't be certain until evidence of powers exist. Personality: Michael is an introvert. He stands on the sidelines as he analyzes situations, staying reasonable in the face of uncertainty, placing concrete answers for all that happens. He does not believe things happen just because they do. He is also a story teller, loving the joy a good tale brings to the ears of those who would listen. Even though Michael is more of a loner, he would stand by what he believes is right, and would do so standing with others would be fighting for the same beliefs. Appearance: Six feet tall, blond hair, and blue eyes, he has a bulky build/big boned.

Might I ask, sir. What is going to be done about the enemy Airstrip being constructed? We can't let the airspace be contested, or it will surely fall to enemy planes and our forces in the city will be greatly overpowered. I offer my team to break away from the battle and to sabotage the enemy airstrip at any cost, so to give our own planes a fighting chance. I also vote for the Option 1.

Good god look at all that beautiful Simcity! D: My eyes can hardly believe it.

I have come out of hiding to say for VICTORY! My men and I will fight house to house! And congratulations to Lt. de Purrton, his actions at the city gate give our men much needed morale!

Woo doggy I've been away for a long time. Sad to see the war still plagues Schulmania. May I ask if SGT. Archean of the IV Corps TRT has lost all his lives in defense of the Queen? Or is he still in the game. I think I'd have gone with Option 4 myself as well.

Hello! I never thought I'd find myself in this part of the forum, but after using Google Sketchup for a long while, and now finally finding a way to exporting a Sketchup file into SC4 BAT, I decided to open my own BAT thread to get people's feedback. Bear with me, I AM a novice and I have no sense of creating models in SC4 BAT itself, nor do I know of night lighting, or texturing in BAT. Any helpful advice would be muchly appreciated. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now to start off, here's my first successful BAT, successfully tested in game. Its a modern family of four home with two car garage and I made it into a static Landmark. I've been having problems with some panels of the models disappearing when I try exporting it. It also seems a bit bright even though I darkened it in Sketchup. If you help me with the brightness, disappearing panels and nightlighting, I'll upload this to the STEX for anyone that wants a custom house! And if it would be awesome if I could get this to be a growwable lot.

A very handy Mod would be similar to the El Rail Facelift, but with the Monorail transit network. It would benefit a lot of players who wish to have Monorail running through their metro areas and not have to deal with strips of grass through a concrete city. If the NAM Team has already done the El Rail Facelift, then sure it can be done with the Monorail Network as well.
