You have a great, believeable CJ and you like Metallica. You are obviously awesome. -
Aw, I liked this CJ. I'll read your next journal.

Chapter 5 - Review and Port Richard teaser

These Diagonal fillers should do the trick: https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1197 You will need an account on the LEX if you don't already have one. -

I know it's quite vague. My towns used to have a small buildings only. nothing fancy. But then after installing some addons like CAM, NAM and some random NDEX files, huge buildings sprung up everywhere like flowers. It went from being like the first screenshot to the second if a few hours. quote> It may have been the Super Demand Ordinance by Buggi: https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm?id=21299

Chapter 3 - Continuing County Development
phoenix7 commented on TheOtherRick's City Journal Entry in Lacey County
Still looking really good. I really like the attention to detail, such as the proper grading of the bridges and the RR service road. The industry right in the middle of town looks a little odd, especially with the greenbelt around it, but it will probably look better once there is more development to the west of the factories. -
Chapter 1 - Development begins in Westridge

I think that you could use some more custom content, but other than that, it is pretty realistic and it looks like you have a good start here. -
I third that motion. The other pictures look good so far, and I like how you have a back story for a lot of your landmarks. I would recommend putting in some medium density between your suburban houses and your skyscrapers. I know that the river is somewhat of a transition itself, but it still looks akward. The haunted update was creative and fun to read. Keep it up

I'm using file front, I've gotten about 10% in 20-30 minutes. Its going to take 1 hr+ no matter where you get it from because it is a 2 GB file. It never sent me my conformation email though; I had to get my code off ST.

https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=13269 = Mellon Bank Tower There is also a map of Pittsburgh, but otherwise, there isn't much. Definitely not Heinz Field.

Selles, this thread is over 5 months old, and almost certainly dead. Don't bump old threads, although I agree it is a good city.
-
I would turn off the UDI icons, but the rest looks good. Also, the mid-rises on the left side of the last picture look very repetitive, so you might night some more custom mid-rises.
-
The map is well done, and I like industrial city CJs since there aren't many of them. Good luck. Those curvy roads are going to be a challenge though.
-
I didn't even know Loretto Valley had started. Skagit County was good, but I think this CJ is a vast improvement. I think you need more custom houses though; those 5 or 10 Maxis houses get very repetitive quickly.

I was just out in Point Reyes on Friday; it is a beautiful place. Those first shots look almost as nice as Pt. Reyes does in real life.

Please don't bump old threads, and please don't sextuple post. But to answer your question, you click extract all files and follow the instructions on screen.
-
Good update. Is there any hope of a region view soon so I can try to find a spot for a new development.

I like your system better than Phat's TBH, but could you make a total (views+replies) column for the next list?

You'll have to register if you haven't done so already, but it is worth it.

Can you copy the .sc4 files to an external hard drive and then reinstall sc4.
-
Other than the basic updates, what else is needed?
phoenix7 replied to edman2012's topic in SC4 - Custom Content
The first thing you should download is the NAM, which includes more stuff than Rush Hour does. https://www.simtropolis.com/modding/index.cfm?p=details&id=380 There are many custom lots and buildings on the STEX; click ST-Exchange at the top of the page to look around there. Which buildings you want depends on what style city you have/want to make. If you have a huge city, you should probably download some skyscrapers, but if your city is small or full of sprawl, some commercial services and houses might be a better choice. -
Yes Voyager, but there is also a ploppable trumpet for the old-school Maxis Ground Hwys in the newest NAM.

It's not the name of a county in Washington.
