Thanks, that fixed it! One minor suggestion - in the future, maybe the controller compiler executable should include some text indicating what the "input" and "output" folder should be. From what I can tell, right now you have to look it up online. And the spot I did find it is actually instructions for the Mac installation: https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=16950.0. But not a big deal. There are some benefits to the other side lot - as it adds a base texture that is otherwise missing, and it allows traffic to access the station from both sides of the avenue. But pretty minor. With some playing around, I discovered that you CAN make it work with a one-tile network crossing and a HSR starter piece. In the image below, the other side lot is necessary so both roads can access the station. So it isn't as useless as I initially thought. Thanks both.

And to clarify - yes, you can make this HSR setup work if you don't use the "other side" lot. It just seems weird as this station seems clearly intended to have an avenue run through it.

Thanks. Yes, I'm using the BTM, but it does the same thing with normal monorail. The station description indicates that it should be possible to use both this lot and the "other side" lot together, but maybe this is just a mistake and there is no way to use the "other side" lot and actually put anything in the middle (except the few things that have ortho puzzle pieces - SAM, FLUP, high monorail/el rail and underground rail) Unfortunately, not the case, this is perfectly flat ground. I've played around with it in an empty plot and I cannot make it happen for a rightward RHW6 curve. It doesn't work no matter what order I place the components in:

Two issues I'm having: I can't seem to make the draggable curves for RHW-6S work. The documentation shows that I can put RHW in the gap to fix it, but it doesn't work when I try: Is it possible to fix the HSR texture in the middle of the overhanging station included in NAM? The description says to use puzzle pieces or starter pieces to fill the gap, but I don't see anyway to actually do so. There's no straight avenue x straight HSR puzzle piece. Any help is appreciated!

Are there any 7.5 m viaduct rail stations out there? All the ones in NAM seem to be 15 m high.

A clerical error resulted in Depiesse's Diner Inc. accidentally approving 77 adjacent franchises along a single road in the same small city. Against all expectations, especially as none of the lots are large enough to offer parking, every single location has thrived. The company is baffled, and the local university has a dedicated team of economists so far unable to explain the phenomenon. A thorough investigation by local police has ruled out the initial suspicions of money laundering. [this picture only shows about half of this continuous strip!]- 242 Replies

Thanks both. It wasn't really an issue worth jobs/anything related to that. I fulfilled all the demand for commercial service and industrial, and every single bar was negative. Tried developing neighbor cities, adding a subway system etc., nothing made a difference. My city was in a death spiral- I dropped all the way to 180k population and was losing $10 000 a month. Taxes was it though - put taxes down to 8.8% across the board, suddenly had residential demand through the roof. City is now back in black, up to 310k people, and booming! Rather counterintuitive tax system. It makes no IRL sense that people will tolerate high taxes in outlying areas, but need lower taxes to be convinced to live closer to the city centre! Will have to play around with it more. Probably I can also fix the strange "issue" where an enormous proportion of my population are R$ and R$$ living in dilapidated higher wealth buildings that couldn't find work. Thanks again. Some of the game systems are pretty opaque.

Hello! I'm getting a bit confused over what is going on with demand in one of my cities and hoping someone can enlighten me. The city has ~250 000 people. Demand is consistently high for CS$, CS$$, I-D and I-HT, usually negative for everything else. I've filled huge areas with I-HT and it hasn't seems to make a difference, and I-HT hasn't even fallen at all. The census repository shows I'm nowhere near hitting my demand caps for residential: Yet if I go into the neighbouring city, (for which this city is the only one connecting), I have lots of R$ and R$$ demand. I can't find anything obviously wrong with the original city. All my education/hospitals are properly funded (I did delete a private school that was over capacity), crime is low, little water pollution etc. Relevant mods I have include NAM, Industrial revolution, SPAM, various fixes (including opera house and I-HT). Does anyone have any suggestions for why I might not be seeing the residential demand in my original city?

Thanks! Seems like a strange decision on their part! I've actually never used the monorail before, it's too ugly! Perfect - I'd seen that diagram but it doesn't include these RHW2 ramps. That video is new though and is exactly what I was looking for. Mind blown - as if I needed another toy to play with! Thanks again!

Thanks - seems a little drastic though! I think I will just have to be more careful.

Just picking up this game again after many years and having a blast. I remember using a much earlier NAM and how frustrating it was to try to do almost anything. Everything seems so easy now, I can make a simple but nice-looking RHW/Avenue interchange in like 30 seconds! And everything seems much more stable, I don't have to constantly bulldoze huge sections after screwing up one tiny thing. Anyways, a few random questions that I'm hoping someone can help with. Thanks in advance! 1. Is it normal that my high-speed rail traffic is producing air pollution, affecting desirability, and allowing me to get "high" customers by zoning commercial backing onto it? Seems weird - heavy rail doesn't do this, and I don't think light rail does but haven't fully experimented. (I'm assuming the HSR is only graphical and would be functionally the same as monorail) 2. There are several ramps to split a RHW-2 into two opposite direction MIS, but they are marked as "deprecated". Does that mean there is a way to create these with flexramps or dragging? I couldn't figure it out or find a guide. 3. I keep accidentally planting trees (with god mode brush) underneath my elevated RHW and ramps. Doesn't actually change anything, but looks stupid. Is there a way to prevent them from growing there, or to remove them without bulldozing the whole highway? Maybe I just need to be more careful 4. Is it actually possible to use the el rail over Road-4? I couldn't find any pieces to transition it to anything else. 5. I accidentally noticed that you can click with el rail on avenues to create tram-in-avenue. Haven't found this documented anywhere. Just curious if there are other little tricks like this that people would recommend.
