geez why is everyone PMS'ing? I'm hopeful that this will be the next Simcity 5, and not some societies sequel that some of you seem to think.

Oh I solved it, I downloaded cycledogg's no. 3 and 4 terrain textures.dats

I deleted the HBS Californian Terrain mod b/c I wanted to create a new region...However, whenever I load any city in the game (old and new), SimCity immediately crashes to the desktop. I decided to take out all terrain-related files in my plugins folder (this includes the Columbus terrain mod, water mods, etc) but the game still crashes. Whenever I put the HBS terrain mod back in the plugins folder, cities load perfectly. As much as I love this terrain mod, my new region doesn't really fit the California landscape. Any suggestions?

Is there a hot key that allows you to directly jump to the end of a menu (i.e. the landmarks menu)? It takes me forver to scroll thru all the landmarks just to get to a specific landmark near the end of the menu... -thx.

[Edited - Not permitted - CaptCity] My only problem is installing the sku1 update. I run the application and it says that it successfully updated sc4. however, when i go to the sc4 directory, the file sizes for simcity1.dat to simcity4.dat haven't changed (simcity1.dat is still 141208 kb instead of 144596 kb). Is there a way of installing the update without having to buy a new copy of sc4 (this will have been my third time doing so )... I was wondering if I could manually download the updated simcity.dat files off somewhere. Is this possible? Downloading sc4 sucks b/c now i don't have night lights -thx.

I might be delusional, but I remember seeing a picture where the advisors were Sims 2 characters instead of Sims 1, is there a mod like this? -thx.
