Hello Everyone, the time for update has come. I know it could seem that I have already abondonned this CJ but I was just very busy for some time. However, I have done some work on my CJ. I have already finished the Prague, now I'm building the suburbs of Prague and tiny villages near Prague. Today, we will have a look at "Úvaly u Prahy". Úvaly u Prahy lays on the main railway line to Brno and Vienna. A lot of EuroCity and InterCity trains go through this town every day. A lot of farms can be found around Úvaly, no wonder, the soil si fertile here. To the north of the city, there is D11 highway to Hradec Králové (and Poland in future). Of course, this location, close to Prague and near the highway attracts new development. Prague Ring Road and its intersection with D11 highway. Enjoy it, I am back

Hello everyone, the time for update has come. First, overview of Praha, or what have been done so far. Next to Malá Strana, there is a Smíchov district. It was a former industrial heart of Prague, but it has become commercial district in last ten years. Close-up from Smíchov. Few kilometres away from Smíchov, there is a residential and quite snobish area called Barrandov. One of the first Movie Studios in Europe was opened there in 1931 (Barrandov Studios) close-up from Barrandov. That's all for today, enjoy it!

Hello everyone, the time for update has come.Today, we will take a look at the Lesser Side ("Malá Strana" in Czech). It is often called a "The Pearl of Baroque Architecture".The famous Czech novelist Jan Neruda was born, lived in and wrote about Malá Strana. First, two real images of Malá Strana. But now, back to my CJ: General overview of Praha is showed below, there is still plenty of work to be done, but the historic center is nearly complete now. More detailed look, Lesser Side and Prague Castle. And more close-ups from Lesser Side: luxury mansions around Prague Castle: And this is Kramá?ova vila, the residence of Czech Prime minister. Hello everyone, the time for update has come! Today, we will take a look at Prague.I have done only about 30% so far. Prague is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic. Situated on the Vltavaa river in central Bohemia, it is home to approximately 1.2 million people. (It can be derived from jobs statistics, however, that an additional 300,000 work there without having registered as residents.) Nicknames for Prague have included "city of a hundred spires" and "the golden city". Since 19922, the historic center of Prague has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. According to Guinness World Records, Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle in the world. This is an overview of Prague, with three district that have been made so far: Old Town, Letná and Vinohrady. More detailed look on the Old town and Vinohrady. The Old town serves nowadays as the commercial and administrative center of Prague. On the other side Vinohrady is prestigious place to live, it is a very pleasant district with lot of park and greenery.Very nice park called "Riegerovy sady" is placed near here. The main railway station functines a border between these two quarters. More close-ups on the Old town. Overall view of Letná district: There is a very fine park here (called Letenské sady), it's a great place for roller-blading in the summer. (To say the truth, new national library is not build yet, but the municipality plans to start the construction next year, I attached the visualization below it. The visualization of the new (real) library from architect Jan Kaplický. But, now more close-ups of Letná. The picture below shows Letenský tunel (Tunnel of Letná which could be very busy during the peaktime, beause it connects residential area on the north to the center of Prague and Old town. Below, the Government building placed near the river Enjoy, and thanks to all for comments!
