Commercial Services Demolition Site Sims are always building stuff, so it's time for them to knock something down! A ploppable 4x4 demolition site as well as 4x2 add-on lot if it helps your zoning. Offering 168 CS$$ jobs as well the smaller having 49 CS$$. Both lots will be found in Landmarks, or in the Commercial Services zoning tab under CS$$ if using the submenus DLL, maybe both. DarkNite and MaxisNite varieties. (My DN isn't the greatest, the model is displaying correctly but the surrounds are not the best, something I've learnt for next time. If you think it doesn't fit just remove and use the MN version). All models either created or modified in BAT4Blender, including lighting. Thanks goes to nos.17 and Jasoncw Dependencies: - DONO Prop Pack v1.0.2 - AGC Streets DLC - AGC Automobile DLC - AGC Heavy Machinery DLC - AGC Industry Energy Telecom DLC - A_1P_120_SimWorkers_1.1 - European Truck Prop Pack vol.1 - SM2 mega-prop-pack-vol1 If you're downloading the DN version I assume you'd have it, but if not you'll need: - Simfox Day/Night Modd -

6 pointsThe current heatwave in Europe is forcing me to find an indoor activity—good reason to further expand my Plantation Bay region. Here an overview of the existing tile; the expansion is planned for the southwest. 1st step: creating a nice seamless transition from these mostly industrial areas including port structures... ...across the border into the next tile: 2nd building a basic transport layout: I´m not sure if I´ll keep the avenues or downgrade these to roads in the beginning. Next will be adding the 1st residential areas, most likely at the northern coastline using the s-bent road as main connection, surrounded by big farms next to the rail line. Later expanding the transport networks and zoning a 2nd res area surrounding the southern bay. Region view, I marked the new tile: Transportation overview: Comments are welcome!

5 pointsI was trying to look at the new traffic bollards I dropped in around the circle using the plop and paint when this one taxi driver drove up on the curve at the last moment and kind of photobombed me...

5 pointsMore progress, including the building being inexplicably beige in the back.

4 pointsThe only dependency mentioned in the posts here is the CP mega prop pack for the Portugal colomial houses. The files in the 09Brazilian pack are identical to the individual sets here, and they appear okay in the game. If you know which ones aren't showing up, feel free to mention it to get assistance on possible issues.

3 pointsI'll jump in with a definite Maybe for sometime in the future. I suspect it could be after all the other coding CB will be doing like Forum Attachments Tracking and other site recovery needs. So yeah, as Propfam and CaptCity have said, there is only the workaround option right now. On a tangentially related note: I long ago learned when you click Delete for an image or file, that is instant. By this I mean if you chose to Cancel your editing without saving that does not reverse any image or file deletions you did while performing the now abandoned edit.

3 pointsI feel pretty dang satisfied with my "SimCity 4 Content Outside of sc4pac, STEX, & SC4E" directory, which can be seen below. I wanted to share my "Assorted Japanese and Chinese Content" directory within that directory seen above. It's dated 2019. I don't know how much, if anything, is something that hasn't yet been collected. It's not organized, either. The .zip is less than 200 megabytes. Please find it below on OneDrive and on Transfer.it. Also, please find below the HTML file with the directory listing generated by Snap2HTML. The OneDrive link will probably last longer than the Transfer.it link will because I'll probably still be paying for Microsoft 365 after my free year is up. OneDrive: Assorted Japanese and Chinese Content.zip Transfer.it: https://transfer.it/t/GCUfAO5RURIb Snap2HTML Directory Listing: Assorted Japanese and Chinese Content.html I will never share my WolfZe directory, by the way, because I understand the trouble that sharing that directory would create.

2 pointsI've got a slightly newer one (Nov. 19, 2003). Maybe made after Rush Hour because it has an 'RH' appended to its name. Also have a Organic Hawkers as an installer. Its a BSC Reward lot. We'll see what Tyberius thinks... I don't want to get yelled at either...

2 pointsI'm wondering if you have @kaimai's relots of Wallibuk's Brazilian items. Those file names pop up in that set. I don't see it on the STEX, but if it was fairly new, it is probably in those items that were lost when the site went down. There was a specific period of time when the items uploaded hadn't been saved upon restoration. I don't have a readme in the set that I have, so I don't know if there's any depencencies other than having Wallibuk's originals. Maybe Kaimai will stop by...

2 pointsThe latter one. I found a file to be added to a compilation, so I want to reorder the images with an additional image.

2 points@pikachu_SQ I spent today downloading what was in the seven links within the original post of this thread. I used the Chrome browser extension Linkclump (https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/linkclump/lfpjkncokllnfokkgpkobnkbkmelfefj) to make gathering the individual links easier, and I used the Chrome browser extension SingleFile (https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/singlefile/mpiodijhokgodhhofbcjdecpffjipkle) to download the individual webpages. I might've missed some downloads or webpages. It was a very tiring effort for me. Also, trying to take care of each of the seven individual sections in a single browser window would nearly max out my system RAM (64 GB) and downloading all of those webpages using Save Page WE would max out my CPU usage. I initially thought that I was going to save English translated versions of each webpage using the built-in translation functionality of my web browser (Microsoft Edge), but I then realized that any modern web browser can translate local .html files. Would you like me to upload all this zipped to OneDrive and Mega's Transfer.it service to ease things for others in the community? I will only do that with your permission. If you say no, then I will keep my archive for my own personal usage. Please find attached an HTML view of my archive's file structure. Thank you so much! Korean Content.html

2 pointsJust curious, do you mean they appear on the Home page? Or do you mean the thumbnail images when you open the entry postting? There is an option of selecting which one appears on the Home page, but to reorder the images (as mentioned) you would have to delete and then add them back in the order you want.

2 pointsIs it possible to add a feature of changing the order of images in STEX and Club files?
-
2 pointsThat is due to the fact that it prevents the game from receiving mouse wheel messages as a brute force way to bypass the Maxis mouse wheel zooming behavior. That Maxis code could be jumped out with a memory patch that redirects to code the DLL provides, but that is more complex to implement due to the fact that it requires working directly with x86 assembly language. I found the location of the cSC4View3DWin_GZOnMouseWheel function in the v641 binary (0x007e6b50), and I also found what I think is a good hook inject point (offset 0x007e6c1a). I may have to try building the plugin and submitting a PR if I get the patch working.

2 pointsI know that this was said a while ago, but I can totally vouch for that browser extension! I used to use Save Page WE, which I believe is also a Chrome/Firefox extension. Single File is much, much better, though! And yes, my mother is watching the French TV and seeing plenty of stories about the heat wave in Europe! She was supposed to go to Spain for a vacation before she had that broken arm only to find that it was 46 degrees in Bilbao. I never really cared enough about units of measurement to think much about conversion between what's used in the United States and what's...not used in the United States, but that number feels unusually high to me. I hope I didn't distract too much from site suggestions!

2 pointsCool! Plop-and-Paint actually just emits a game message with the Lot ID. But this method that allows to specify both the building & lot ID would be more suitable I will investigate further! --- For people suffering from crashes, it's advisable to install SC4 Graphics Options DLL and to ensure dgVoodoo2 is properly installed. For most configurations this helps a ton! --- @Ernestmaxis: I did try lot texture removal and got a proof of concept working (via the cSC4LotBaseTextureOccupant class and its texture specifications), but sadly this method did not persist in savegames. It seems like the lot texture occupants (both overlay and base, don't be confused by the name of the Occupant class) are regenerated on each load by the actual lot configurations. See the video below. However in this state I don't consider it to be very useful - hence why the stripper can only remove decal textures you've added yourself.

Yunika Building, Shinjuku, Tokyo First time I've done a building in the Shinjuku area in Tokyo. This is one of the central buildings in Shinjuku upon existing the east side of Shjinjuku station. Yunika Building, built by Matsuda Hirata Sekkei (MHS), was built in 2010, and it's first tenant, a Yamada-Labi appliance/electronics store, occupied it within the first decade of the building's existence, before Yamada had financial struggles during the pandemic and moved to a building in the west side of the station (there is currently a merger proposal from rival electronics chain Edion in Japan). Labi is the brand Yamada uses in urban areas. In 2022, Alpen Sports opened a flagship store as the new tenant of this building. There are eight above-ground floors as well as two basement floors in the building, and they sell over 350,000 sporting good items, giving us one of, if not the largest sporting goods store in the world. Floor breakdown: Alpen Sports/Sports Depo occupy the two basement floors and the first two ground floors. Basement 2F: Baseball and softball, as well as MLB/Nippon League memorabilia and other team sports, as well as an area for Japanese brand Mizuno. Basement 1F: Racquet (pickleball/tennis/badminton/ping pong), Volleyball and Swimming. Ground Floor 1F: Running, with simulated running tracks, and basketball, as well as sports jerseys from around the world. The NBA is heavily represented here. 2F: Soccer/World football, with kits of every kind, the latest boots, and equipment. 3-5F: Alpen Outdoors, a camping superstore for all your camping needs. North Face, Patagonia, Columbia, and Coleman are big brands here, as well as the Japanese brand Snow Peak. 6-7F: Golf5: A golfing chain in Japan, which sells everything golf related, including craftsman made specialized clubs. The 6th floor has 3D scanning to give your hands the perfect clubs. The 7th floor is full of golf simulators to test your clubs. 8F: Alpen Mountains. For your mountain hiking needs, and a haven for people who hike places like Mt. Fuji. Snowboarding and skiing are also represented here. If you're looking for more specialized sports like American or Aussie Rules football, rugby, cricket, hockey, this is probably not the place to find that equipment since those aren't sports that are played as much in Japan. There's also an array of restaurants, pharmacies like Matsumoto Kiyoshi and Welcia, financial services, and salons/wellness centers in this central building of Shinjuku. The big LED boards for Yunika Vision are included here. CS$$8 2x4 Corner and Plop with jobs in the zip file. Three versions: Alpen Toyko (2022-present) Alpen Sports (a generic version) Labi-Yamada (2010-2021) Dependencies: RR Mega Prop Pack 2, for the table sets. -

1 pointOkay, I managed to fix the scrolling problem, I had to log and debug what area IDs the plugin was treating as 3D world surfaces vs SC4 UI and just have it target world surfaces. Great! And with that 1.0 is officially released! Thank you to everyone!

1 pointI appreciate the comment, I hope this might ease your feelings about it! I still have adjusting to do, this is not the final product, there's some inconsistencies I have to repair. I will have more this weekend on it. The model will be in a SD format when it is released, this is how it will look in game:

1 pointFollowing the mentioned issue of lost files that were attached to posts, I was wondering if there is a way to search for posts that have such attachments. If not, could this be added? I feel that there is a number of very valuable or useful ones amongst those files-in-post. Yet they are hidden in a kind of darknet as they cannot be searched for. Here are a few examples of those files-in-posts: Wallibuk's files https://community.simtropolis.com/forums/topic/761930-wallibuks-bats/?do=findComment&comment=1774965 https://community.simtropolis.com/forums/topic/761930-wallibuks-bats/?do=findComment&comment=1790739 https://community.simtropolis.com/forums/topic/761930-wallibuks-bats/?do=findComment&comment=1799863 https://community.simtropolis.com/forums/topic/761930-wallibuks-bats/?do=findComment&comment=1802716 memo' NAM.dll: https://community.simtropolis.com/forums/topic/762985-namdll-open-beta/?do=findComment&comment=1788789 rsc204's Diagonal Bridge bugfix: https://community.simtropolis.com/forums/topic/763609-diagonal-bridge-rrw-issue/?do=findComment&comment=1807747 11241036's Secret Railway Stations: https://community.simtropolis.com/forums/topic/73220-cant-find-it-ask-here/?do=findComment&comment=1745711

1 pointThis mod "in beta" is great! It makes using the 3D camera mod a lot easier. I also love being able to step in to so many different zoom levels! Feedback that I have is that it breaks mouse wheel scrolling through the UI. If you can't implement anything to fix that, that's okay.
-
1 pointLooks like it was attachd here, but the link to the attachment was broken when the site went down. Will 'call' on @Wallibuk to see if the file still exists and can be restored.

This archive contains as many of the files of prominent Japanese modder Kori (Fox and Tanuki), active from 2004 to 2012 on both SimCity Force and Hide and Seek, as I could locate. Kori's models include three sets of Japanese-style rural houses, a series of public housing apartments (danchi), a large number of civic buildings, seasonal rice fields, temples, a set of historic shops and more. Some of the models are in high definition. Many of these buildings were originally modded to overwrite Maxis lots. I have reassigned all of these new unique TGIs so that they can be used alongside Maxis content and are also easier to find in the buildingplop menu. I have not otherwise modified the lots and only changed the names of building and lot exemplars, and don't know if they need to be otherwise edited (e.g. with new stats, etc). These files may eventually be restored in a more official form but hopefully these can be used until that happens. Screenshots do not show every possible combination of building/prop families or seasonal props. The archives separate Kori's works posted on SimCity Force from those posted on Hide and Seek for reasons of upload constraints. -
1 pointI find it absolutely bizarre that your original provider was willing to resort to a antimatter annihilation equivalent attack against ST as a whole. I am so glad that your were able to recover from this farce.

1 point@bladeberkman: Lazarou and rsc204 are mostly correct. It's not so much a bug in Plop-and-Paint per se, more of a lack of support for the sometimes very complex building family & parent cohorts that Maxis set up. Meanwhile I added some code to at least add filters for the lot/building painter on Building Styles and W2W, using the APIs provided by @Null 45's great Building Styles DLL. The Plop-and-Paint cache builder will cache all the typical Building Styles & W2W properties that were added by the DLL, and show their name & allow filtering by it if the DLL itself is installed. In this picture I have the DLL installed but don't actually use any custom styles, so it shows only the ones that are there by default (i.e. the vanilla styles). Thoughts or ideas on how to do this better? Allow More Building Styles - DLL Plugin - DLL Mods - Simtropolis

1 pointI think the idea is fairly similar to the extension to memo's 3D camera DLL that I toyed with a few months ago. It was mostly for experimental reasons so I never really tied it in to the middle mouse movement, just a cheat code to open a dialog where all the view angles and zoom/magnification could be tweaked with sliders. But perhaps there's code here that you could re-use/integrate in your work. https://github.com/caspervg/sc4-render-services/tree/main/src/sample/camera-view-input

1 pointAs stated in a previous entry, in my regional headcanon the ludicrous farm plots are an unofficial competition between towns to honor the Royal SimFamily's farming heritage, given that the matriarch of the current Reiss lineage - Queen Historia I - was raised in a farm and was affectionately named the "cattle-farming goddess" early in her reign. Captain Middle America: The Winter Wheat Seller Wood Man Brown Widow Harvesters: Infinity Farm Cider-Man: Far From Hoe Guardians of the Granary Crop circle to greet the UFO visitors. The aliens must be really tired from their long interstellar trip, so the thoughtful farmers had it ready-made for them Piggeries/hog farms forming a giant Star of Eldia. This time around, the pig enclosures have all been equipped with electrified fences and motion-sensing infrared cameras Brzenska city's fractal grid layout and hexagon outskirts. The hexagons look "futuristic" in the sense that you can expect to arrive at your destination in the distant future, eventually. If you're up for a challenge, download the ready made region and try driving through this monstrosity in u-drive-it mode haha If you squint at it long enough, the neighborhoods flanking the highway somewhat resemble the hallucigenia "source of all living matter" from the series. Dreyse-Freudenberg Metropolitan Area's concentric zone model layout. Inspired by the ancient Walls Maria, Rose, and Sina I was going to develop it a bit more to gather a clump of skyscrapers around the John Hancock Center, but never got around to it so it ended up looking like Isengard and Orthanc from Lord of the Rings On the very bright side though, it would make an ideal bullseye target for orbital nuclear bombardment (not that anyone's planning to do that anytime soon, right?) Berner Industrial Park hosts manufacturing plants supplying high-tech parts for the Hange Zoe Space Center Zacharius City's central business district, where the southern terminus of the national high-speed railway loops around to "lasso" the financial skyscrapers of what was once a frontier ranching town: where cowboys once wrangled market bulls, now their grandkids are chasing bull markets. Nijo Station is a passenger train station aimed at moving moderate volumes of sims on and off the rails. This gem of a station was originally created by APTX. With the demise of his site, many people have been left in the dark as to where to go to download his creations. With the help of DragonAnime, this station is now available for download on the STEX! Like the NAM-compatible Bullet Train Mod (BTM) and bullet train skins I have uploaded from APTX in the past, good faith is assumed. Credit should be given to APTX for creating this station. I am merely uploading it to the STEX for all to enjoy, with the permission of APTX and the Simtropolis staff. Dependencies: None Recommended Downloads: Network Addon Mod (NAM) Station specs: Capacity: 10,000 Networks served: rail (passenger), bus, pedestrian, and car Cost: $4,000 Demolition cost: $850 Monthly cost: $25 Size: 6x4 There are 2 rail lines included with this station. Ensure you drag 2 parallel rail networks through the station to ensure a working connection. Simply extract the files to your plugins folder for it to work. The station will be found in your railways menu. If you have any questions or concerns about the mod please post below. Thanks and enjoy! -Haljackey
