[Click banner for full size] Downtown Santa Rio is home to some of the region's only luxury condos, ones with beautiful views of the city and its windy rivers as well as the surrounding forest. However, with these condos maxing out at $3.5 million, they aren't nearly as luxurious when compared to those in larger cities. Once one exits the area of downtown filled with skyscrapers, they will notice that the area's residential neighborhoods are actually quite charming and peaceful, and is known for it's...

[Click banner for full size] College Town, home to three different colleges, is a district of Santa Rio that is full of young, ambitious adults that finally managed to move away from their parents and find a creepy roommate to bunk with. Although the district is often criticized for it's virtually absent nightlife, students still find a way to have police show up to the dorms every night, and with a median age of 20, that tradition isn't going away any time soon... Replies are at the bottom... First...

Carlsbad, one of Xylo's oldest suburbs, is home to some of the nation's smartest students. With a HKI Score (Henderson Knowledge Index) of 927 out of 1000, it is also home to some of the nation's smartest adults. The city of 79,000 people, however, is rapidly aging and has barely seen any residential construction since 1984. In 1999, former mayor Bonquisha Hamilton announced the New Downtown Carlsbad project, which was expected to add numerous jobs and housing for as many as 15,000 residents. In 2009, the...

Replies are at the bottom Palmdale, located off the shore of Lake Crystal, saw booming growth in the 80s and 90s thanks to a strong economy, however, the Late 2000s recession severely damaged the economy, with unemployment peaking at 23%. This caused Palmdale's population to go from 658,102 in 2000 to 420,040 2012. After the election of a new mayor, unemployment finally went below 10% in March 2014, and Palmdale reported one its first year of population growth since 2007. Thinks are finally starting to...

Kellan. 600,000 beautiful residents. Kellan Valley. 1.1 million residents. Kellan continues to inspire with it's smart planning, controlled sprawl, and a city government that stands out from the others. Replies Are At The Bottom Sorry for the lack of updates, its because of pure laziness and no inspiration, sorry for future mediocre updates (including this one). These pics were taken 3 weeks ago, and about 30 are ready for Benjamin's cj taken between 1 and 5 months ago. Um...yeah its a news thingy!...

In 2004, Mayor Kiki Coco, who lived in Radiator Springs for 55 years, renamed the Kellan Suburb of Mari to Radiation in honor of Radiator Springs surpassing 10 million people, becoming the largest city in North America and the English World. Due to the combination of a population boom and an increasing interest in urban housing, resulted in an apartment boom in the eastern valley, increasing Radiation's population from 11,309 in 2005 to 234,829 in 2014. The city beame an urban paradise the Lakefront...

As most of you know, all of my cjs and cities, including The Forgotten (this cj) take place in the fictional country of Henderson. Henderson is basically a near replica of the United States, and because of that, it is also in an alternate world where the US and Henderson somehow co-exist together. Many cities are similar to US cities. Radiator Springs is NYC, Xylo is a city near NYC, Kellan is Portland, Benjamin is Dallas/Houston, and so on. But today, I have photo-shopped a satellite picture of Kirkland,...

Intro Update- City of Catalina As growth in the U.S State of Henderson continued, cities like Portland, Benjamin, and Jordan started running out of room. As more people started moving in, cities and towns were springing up everywhere. About 11 miles off the coast, a new city named Catalina was created. As Catalina begins to grow faster than ever, some wonder if it has gone too far... Future replies will always be at the bottom NOTE: Jordan is still on its regular update schedule. Nothing has happened to...

Update 2- City of Tampa As Catalina continues to be the core of Henderson Island and surrounding islands, Tampa is rising from the ground as it is on its way to becoming a local resort town. Hotels are already staring to be built, and a theme park is even on its way to becoming a reality. Replies are at the bottom... This is the Tampa Avenue bridge, the only connection Tampa Island has to Catalina/Henderson Island. Because of this, this bridge is often congested, unless it is a stormy day like this, in...

Kellan Metro- Lakefront District As Kellan continues to see record growth, the mayor announced that as of November 1st, 2013, Kellan was the densest city in the Pacific Northwest. A brand new district, locally known as the Lakefront District, has seen a huge surge in growth. Many tall buildings have popped up, 4 are taller than the tallest building in Downtown Kellan. Many people confuse this area as the real Downtown Kellan, because the buildings are taller, and it is more dense. Kellan's Lakefront...

Update 6- Kellan Metro Area On the western side of a Pacific Northwestern Island lies a coastal valley. In that coastal valley lies an up and coming city named Kellan, and many other surrounding cities. This area remained very sparse until the mid 1970s. The Kellan Metro area became the fastest growing city in the Pacific Northwest. Now, Kellan is just like every other American city, or is it.... Kellan's Current Population: 201,783 Kellan's Projected Population Upon Completion: 450,000 Kellan Metro....

Triple Feature As the Kellan Metropolitan Area continues to grow at an accelerating pace, the region starts to become internationally recognized for its fast growth, urban planning, and stable economy. However, Kellan's population and economy still dwarfs Seattle, who continues to dominate the Pacific Northwest. Will Kellan ever catch up to the King of Coffee and Technology? Replies are at the bottom. A few changes have been made, such as Kellan's climate. I realized Kellan was the only city in the Pacific...

[Click banner for full size] I planned to update Santa Rio a long time ago, but my hard drive got corrupted. Luckily, Santa Rio is backed up but my wife decided to send my computer to Geek Squad despite the fact I told her I could fix it myself. Toshiba, for some reason, decided to replace the motherboard as well so now I'm dealing with a whole new slew of problems related to Windows 10 not being activated now. Also, two things about the the valley's grid pattern (I know people are silently judging me...

--PART OF THE DOUBLE DAY UPDATE SPECIAL-- --CAREFUL! LARGE PICTURES-- --Check Out the College Town Update HERE-- Weston Hills, a quiet rich city, with a bustling downtown area home to any regional headquarters, and even some world headquarters. With its expensive, yet peaceful homes, large playful parks, and beautiful mountain views from any point in the city, Weston Hills is the perfect suburb for any family. However, with its many offices home to big corporations, two super-regional malls, and busy ski...

It's November 28, 2013. Much of Henderson is getting ready to cook the annual feast, while some are more focused on training for Black Friday. But this year it is special. A storm has passed through that is going to affect the entire country at once. Many people will get to see a peaceful, light snowfall, leading to snowball fights and snow tubing. Some areas will, sadly, see heavy rain and widespread flooding, but that doesn't stop the fact that 84% of stores are sold out of any Turkey or Chicken related...

After the Valley Metropolitan Planning Committee (VMPC) announced the Lakefront District Project, tons of developers flocked to the vast farmland that will soon become one of the largest business districts in the Pacific Northwest. Many tried protesting against development, some even started a riot at a construction site that injured 19, killed 4, and delayed construction by 4 months. None of this anti-urbanism worked and the project continued and expanded. Today, the Lakefront District and a combination...

This is part of the Hillsboro, a town of 16,000, is the next city along the freeway, and the city where Anthem Lake turns into Anthem Creek. This small town has the culture of a big city, but is nowhere near that. As we enter Hillsboro, we run into some traffic caused by a crash that happened earlier today. Why doesn't everyone just take a detour? After waiting about 25 minutes, we passed the crash scene, the freeway is pretty quiet again. We get off at Neanth Blvd. We are gonna turn on Hillsboro Blvd....

GUESS WHO'S BACK!!! Have you ever wanted to live in a place? A place with all the seasons: Hot, cold, rain, snow? A place where the suburbs aren't a bunch of houses 2x bigger than your apartment? A place right near a mountain range full of volcanoes? A place where Morgan Freeman reads you bedtime stories every night? Well this is that place. Welcome, to Kellan. (Stats under 2nd picture) Since you (I) were gone: New Cities: 3 New Planned Communities: 7 New Skyscrapers (Kellan): 13 New Skyscrapers (Region):...

Update 3- Heading East As Henderson Island's growth is concentrated on the Catalina Area, another fast growing area is Anthem County. For the next few updates, we will be driving to the city of Anthem, while passing through some small suburbs. First stop, Lakeview. Population-8,598 Replies are at the bottom... Its a warm, 74 degrees. As we approach Lakeview, we still haven't seen any development yet. This must be a really small town... As we enter the city limits, we pass by a new housing development. After realizing that the Santa Rio Metropolitan Area was now 90% complete, I decided to take a tour of some of the cities and I realized that the region was not very unique, especially when compared to all of my cj's. A game like Simcity 4 can only go so far, so I decided tor recreated an old city journal of mine: the Kellan Metropolitan Area. Although this is my personal favorite, the funny thing is that in a poll I conducted in a previous entry of The Forgotten it wasn't even close to the top choice....

--PART OF THE DOUBLE DAY UPDATE SPECIAL-- --CAREFUL! LARGE PICTURES-- --Check out the Weston Hills Update HERE-- Founded in 1932, The University of Henderson's Palmdale Campus in College Town is the 4th oldest campus in the UofH college system. With 41,495 undergraduates and a total of 54,227 students, it is also the second largest campus of the 1.1 million student UofH system. One fact that even many locals don't know is that 94% of the 111,000 residents in College Town either are or have attended the...

Palmdale will still have its last 3 updates, just had to get this out the way. Xylo, home to the second densest urban core, is a city with one of the fastest growing skylines in Henderson. In 1985, the tallest building in Xylo was barely over 300 feet tall., but in 2014 Xylo had two buildings over 1,000 ft high and six over 800 feet. This skyscraper boom also brought a load of people, with Xylo adding over four-hundred thousand people from 1990 alone. But along with this came many city planning failures,...

Kellan Metro: Lake Jillian As Kellan keeps growing. A weird phrase started popping up in the circle of city planners, If you can't go out, you go up. And that's what happened. All over Kellan, mid-rise residential buildings started popping up everywhere, making Kellan the densest city in the Pacific Northwest. But the upper class residents of Lake Jillian refused to give up there mansions for luxury condos. Today, Lake Jillian still lies protected from this mysterious building boom, for now... Replies are...

[Click banner for full size] Santa Rio is a relatively dense city located along the Zeus River, a deep and very windy tributary of the Kellan River. Santa Rio has seen accelerating growth due to its participation in the statewide Skyline Race, the name given to for the skyscraper construction boom all across English Vancouver. While Santa Rio may not have as many skyscrapers as nearby Kellan or the charm of Oceanside, it still has a special feel to it that makes it's residents proud to call it home. ...
