Update 12- Triple Feature!
Triple Feature
As the Kellan Metropolitan Area continues to grow at an accelerating pace, the region starts to become internationally recognized for its fast growth, urban planning, and stable economy. However, Kellan's population and economy still dwarfs Seattle, who continues to dominate the Pacific Northwest. Will Kellan ever catch up to the King of Coffee and Technology?
Replies are at the bottom.
A few changes have been made, such as Kellan's climate. I realized Kellan was the only city in the Pacific Northwest to have such an extreme daily temperature variation and heavy yearly snowfall.
More people want urban scenes so the next update will be some kind of urban/semi urban one.
The HOMO Sapien Project

Welcome to Downtown Sapien, another old work transformed by the HOMO Sapien Project (The city's name is Sapien, Homo Sapien means Modern Human). Downtown is always praised for it's blueish-grayish theme, some even say its nicer than Downtown Kellan, the core of the metro area.

This is the Sapien Light Rail, this loops around the city. During rush hour, some say that the usage can resemble a subway car in Manhattan. Sapien is one of the few areas in Kellan to have any type of public transit that isn't a city bus.

This is Sapien Blvd., a road that cuts through the middle of the main part of the Sapien project. The area above is near Midtown Sapien, and the Telus Communications Building can be seen in the bottom of the picture.

This is the Sapien Bighorns Stadium east of Downtown. A Walmart was also built adjacent to the stadium for those who don't want to pay $10 for a bottle of water.

This is the Sapien Shopping Corridor, a line of shops along Sunrise Blvd. east of Downtown. Some of the regions most expensive retailers are here, and the the only Ikea within the whole region also calls this area home.

Madison High School, home to 3,102 students, is one of the biggest non-overcrowded schools in the entire region. However, this school reported the lowest HSA test grades of any other high school in the region, with a Math Average of 386/500 (77%), and a English average of 398/500 (79%).

City of Brickwell

Downtown Brickwell. This area has recently seen a rise in the construction of 100+ ft. buildings due to the need of jobs from the nearby HOMO Sapien Project.

North End of Downtown.

Condo/Loft development east of Downtown.

Interstate 5 also cuts through the city and separates development from the coast. (I know its an avenue but a RHW-4 cant make a 90 degree turn).

Some developments have sprung up west of the city, cramming people into the super slim flat area between the coast and the mountains. The avenue above is technically considered Interstate 5 but is converted into an avenue to conserve space.

More development along Interstate 5.
Wettest Weather
(Title changed from Like Father Like Son)

Not only was the winter of 2013-2014 the second snowiest ever, it was the wettest ever recorded. After recording its wettest year ever, snowiest year ever, and wettest February and March ever, Kellan's soil is more than saturated, with many areas being flooded for months now. However, some are saying an El Nino is forming, which diverts precipitation from the Pacific Northwest and can give Kellan a chance to dry up.

Slushy Hail falls in January 2014, an unusually warm and powerful storm for that time of year.

Dense fog intrudes the Riverfront District, making visibility zero in some places.
