Hello everyone. My name is Mark, am 31 years old, live in Heerlen (Netherlands) and earn my living as a project manager. I have been a SimCity player since the first time it came out, but unlike other games, never really got into the community side of things. I have visited this site before, but that has been some while ago and my re-discovery of SC4 (deluxe) kind of drove me towards Simtropolis and I can't say anything other than that I am impressed with what this site offers and the accomplishments of people playing the game. I am certain I am going to have a great time here, even if that consists out of reading for 80%, with all the information to absorb.

happy? heh, to be honest Deever I was AMAZED at how much information I could find here!!! the word censored i wrote is -NEWBIE- thats what I am at SimCity 4 heh. Since I had SimCity 3000 (i was younger) i always wanted to be able to build my megatropolis... but was never succesful D: ... now that I have SimCity 4 i hv a new challenge and I am now determined to build the city of my dreams i found great tutorials that have helped me so far and I have been able to build a nice suburbia with FINALLY SOME INCOME! but I still have SO much questions (what the heck is NAM?) and I also want to get my Rush Hour but it's not easy getting it here since it didnt reached popularity in my country D: ANYWAY! THANKS FOR THE WELCOME! and im glad u say i can ask for help coz trust me, I WILL! hehe

Ok. First off, the NAM or Network Addon Mod makes significant changes and additions to the game's transportation system. It adds things like diagonal streets, roundabouts, ground light rail (GLR), etc. It also 'fixes,' in a way, the pathfinding (is that what it's called?) that the game uses. Although you will need Rush Hour or Deluxe Edition for the NAM to work.

Second, just like what you did, you can freely ask questions. Just be responsible enough to ask your question in the right forum (at least in the forum that you think is right).

And last, good luck and happy city building (sorry if the game isn't too popular in your country).
