I'm hardly new around here but I've certainly been very quiet. I don't think I ever properly introduced myself, so I think I'll take the opportunity to do so now. Certainly with the news of SCSoc, I've been prompted to make more contributions to the forums, rather than spending countless hours just reading them!

It seems that my old ISP was bought by Yahoo and logging in will fwd me to the YIM account info. Nothing matched and the login isp ate the validation email. I can't even access the ISP distant access url without being fwd to Yahoo.

I want to learn as much about Sim as my old head can hold. I had a stroke and heart attack in 97 and have resorted to computing for renewing connections. Impressions invited me to test Cleopatra and before you knew it, there were other testing invites that kept me online and learning things. I've tested about 40 games and patches since 1997.

This also led me into my own site which is a citybuilding contest site. Up till now we have used mods for the Vivendi/Sierra/Impressions/Tilted Mill games. With any luck we will be adding the new Sim version to the line up. http://citybuildingcontests.net/

When I know more about Sim, I will be glad to consider Sim 4 for addition to the line up. What we'd need is a great designer to create a contest or mod. More of this later when I get used to the game's framework. Its been a long time since Sim 2000... and about 40 other games on top of it.

USA Atlanta area, Age 65, live with my 98 year old relative who looks askance at my computer addiction. Three middle aged kids and 4 grandkids. General skills, reading not writing Php, py. xml, basic knowledge of Maya 5, and still wrestling with 3DM7 cause the interface is quite different. Html and UBB. Running vbulletin, my latest site addition. I'm pretty good with the old drawing slate, but the driver is so old it has quit on me when I moved up to the dual core system. I've made some DDS files for in-game use too.
