Right now i'm looking for stadiums, preferably smaller ones, under about 30k, and have pretty much cleaned out the STEX, SC4D and dmscopio's site so does anyone know of any off beat japanese sites or something? second, searching through the show us your stadiums thread, I found one which had something strange happen to the link through the advancements in software of ST and I couldn't click the link, it was called Fukuda Denshi Arena, anyone have any ideas here? I'm also wondering if anyone has any links to Safeco Field and Minute Maid Park?

If you scroll down for a while, this japanese site has two (unique) stadiums: The Oita and Soga. They may hold bigger crowds than 30K in RL, though..

I've been looking for the top one for over 4 years... I thought I had gotten it at Simtrop, but apparently I didn't!

Unfortunately, though, when I try to download the lots, I get an error.

Yes, I just tried and all seemed to download fine. You do need to use Internet Explorer if you're not. When I tried Firefox, it gave me a similar error that you posted. If you are using Internet Explorer, it may depend on your settings. The EA site does need to install an ActiveX file.

I'm not sure which building that is, but I do know a tool you can use to view props with. It is called the PIM-X and it is available here from SC4 Devotion [Link]. It is a much more advanced plug-in manager that is packed with some useful features. You can view the contents of a prop pack (with an image) by scrolling down a list. When starting the PIM-X, it is recommended that you only put the files you need in your plugins folder. This can dramatically reduce loading times because the PIM-X has to load all the contents of your plugins folder.

6y4ever: As far as the bridge goes, I see NAM, same people that did the NWM that Capt City talked about, and an essential basically for SC4. Its made of One Way roads with the arrows removed, thats some mod I cant remember, search the STEX and you'll probably find it, third I see some sort of seawalls there, I really don't know much about them and I have a city that could use them too. As for how to make it you also need either an EXTREMELY steady hand with the mayor mode goding tools OR the holedigger lots to get it flat and everything, need to position them about every other tile, run a road through them all and then if you want to make a turn do it that way in the direction it'll go now This whole bit is sunken highway which I'll find a video on. I don't use them I just identify things somewhat. The tecnique for the bridge also works for making a realistic highway overpass, you need the holedigger lots for either.

Might as Well post my question on this thread seeing my problem is somewhat connected with the topic Starter's problem.

But first, I think I better make a brief introduction

My usual interwebz name is Cahos Rahne Veloza, or CRV for short. I am somewhat of a retro console video games player having started my gaming career (if only playing videogames was indeed a paying profession... although there are Cyber athletes who do get endorsements because they are masters of videogaming art) with the Nintendo Famicom console. I've been hooked on the SIMCity franchise ever since I laid eyes on the first SIMCity game for the Nintendo SNES back in the day when it got featured in a videogames review show. The idea of building & managing your own city got a hold of me dead on & it never let go For the most part, a lot of my childhood friends & schoolmates at the time was turned off at the game & considered it boring as they were more into the button masher fighting games genre or Role playing Games or RPG genres.

Another big reason why I enjoy SIMCity games is because the game serves as a substitute for one of my "broken dreams" LOL! You see I was a kid of the 80's & though videogames became totally mainstream by then there was another popular toy that rivaled every other toy to this day. LEGO! Yup, I'm guilty for being a big fan of LEGO play sets, albeit I absolutely hate the newer sets that have come out in recent years. Being an 80's kid I was a big fan of the LEGOLand Town play system & by stating that fact I hope you now have an inkling why I said SIMCity fulfills a broken dream Back then my biggest dream was to have enough LEGO Town playsets & those very elusive road plates so I can have my own LEGO Town as was shown in the LEGO catalogue pictures LOL! Sadly, I live in a part of the world where 1$ USD is equivalent to fifty (50) of our country's currency so buying LEGO toys or even any other toy for that matter costs an arm or a leg

Anyhoo, I think I've babbled long enough to make a decent introduction even though I sort of hijacked the thread starter's thread instead of making a proper introductory thread in the correct sub fora but I do have a good intention for doing so.

I've actually been downloading a lot of custom content on here recently as well as on SC4Devotion & on SIMPEG after learning about custom content, but that's another story for another day I guess. And I stumbled upon this thread while looking for a way to replace the ugly textures for the Maxis highways. Like the thread starter & twinsfan14 said, this modd was to my liking as well:

Sadly just like what three people on the comments section for the download said, this modd gets overridden by the NAM & only interchanges gets the asphalt texture.

I looked up a solution to this problem & my research took me to this "solution:

Can any of you good folk help me out in tracking down this fix? I know I could just switch to the other highway texture modd, but this one's absolutely better.

First off all, please be more specific when making posts. This isn't helping very much...

Second, there are no real working bike lanes available, since SimCity 4 does not recognize bike traffic. However there are bike paths available as park lots. You can try to search the STEX for them.

Hey guys I was just wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction regarding mid size, medium density apartment buildings. I've looked through the STEX and the majority of BAT's seem to be sky scraper apartment buildings holding 2000+ people. I know how certain BATers are known for certain types of things like SimGoober and his shops and restaurants is there someone who has made a load of medium sized apartment blocks of any wealth level. Any help greatly appreciated.

There are literally dozens of things available to choose from. You might search the STEX for rock and flora ploppables by Pegasus (MTP series), Heblem, or Cycledogg to name a few. Try a sarch for their names or for terms such as "Mayor Mode," "Ploppables." or something similar. You could also check this thread by Chrisadams at SC4D (Link) for ideas.
