The Neko props are just that props, to my knowledge no one ever made MMPs out of any of his trees. I’m certain the Cherry tree shown is actually from VIP in the pack @Tyberius06 linked. I am pretty familiar with that model, it’s my favourite Cherry tree (don’t tell the others) and I have been working with trees a lot recently.

i was looking more closely at the Neko trees recently too. It wouldn’t take a huge effort to make MMPs for them, I’ll see if I can find some time for that this week.

I actually managed to find them and added the link to my first post.

Indeed it's from the VIP RuralPack 1, but one thing I realized is that there's no text mentioning the "Cherry" tree in the description of the page (just an image of the content). So, the search didn't pick it up. Probably be best if someone could update the description on that page and mention the content of the pack.

And for the Neko trees, the MMP is actually made by Uki and available on his site.
But it would be great if you want to make another one too. More content is good :D
Also, just an idea, maybe you can add some fallen leaves on yours.

Whilst generally I agree that more content is no bad thing, what is the point of duplicating something that already exists? I'll check out the Uki files, but if he covered all Neko's trees, unless I felt the need to modify how it worked, I wouldn't bother making new copies.

Adding leaves to an MMP isn't really possible if it's Seasonal, we can only use three models with MMPs to cover all the seasons, there is no way to 'attach' these extra leaves. OK, you could use SC4 Model Tweaker to combine the Autumn model with a model of some leaves, creating a new model with both parts, that would work but has a pretty major drawback. You could probably never release the modified model, since it contains the works of likely two different creators now.

MMPs are based on Flora, however Props are much more flexible, for example we can have both complete control over which model appears when during the yearly cycle and also use as many models as we like in the process.

Unfortunately it is not, I downloaded everything and it continues, Jumpthefence files don't even need a dependency as it says in all

Hey, does anyone know where to find the BLS D66 Whispering Pines Dude Ranch?  I'm assuming it's been merged into a larger pack, but I don't know which one it is for certain.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

As far as I can tell, it looks like the Ranch was something available on the old LEX DVD. I haven't been able to find where it might have been uploaded elsewhere, but plans may be in the works to make those DVD items available. Of course, it might be somewhere, and I just haven't come across it yet...

Yes, it's gonna come to LEX with other used to be LEX DVD contents when I find some time to finalize these uploads. There's gonna be approximatly 100+ uploads eventually, but we will see. I have a bit limited time and some other projects with higher priorities, plus it doesn't help that some of these contents are quite dependency heavy and currently the LEX Dependency Tracker is out of order. But they will definitely come, most probably at some point during the summer, but I can not promise any strick date. It depends on how my other projects are moving forward and how my RL situation will change.

If these were farm fields they were compiled together.

Thanks for the info.  Will CSX Organic Hawkers be included in this project as well?  That is another of the BTE lots which seems to be missing from either the LEX or STEX.

Wondering if anyone has the three files that were attached to this post on SC4D, in particular the ReplaceSteamEngine files.

Reason being, I've been having issues with the Maxis Steam Train, in that it is so persistent in avoiding being replaced, in comparison to the normal passenger and freight locomotives are. At this point i'm convinced that if it has the 'Automata: Steam train' occupant group, it will continue to load from simcity_1.dat, even if those files are overwritten later, leading to a mix of a "replacement" and the original being used.

any searches for disabling or replacing the steam engine always lead to that thread and post, so I'd like to try and get a comparison or to see if there's anything 'special' being done to completely disable it.

Maybe... but I too had long suffered from this problem, until recently I found that one of the Maxis DLC packs (AirForceBase) adds a new instance of the Steam train, likely what you are seeing if you have that installed. After I dealt with that, I've not seen a Steam Engine since:

z_Block_Maxis_SteamTrain_AirForceBase.dat

I did have that installed, and it turns out that was the culprit. After installing that blocker and running in-game for a few months, no vanilla steam train.
Thank you very much. It's curious as to why it's there, as i've never actually developed a city/region big enough to get the Air Force Base reward.
