How about in-game menu management, or some sort of way to make plops into those ones that have plop this and then all the plops for category A show up.

sort of like JPN walls have a plop than you can plop the walls.

I forgot as a side note how to tell the difference between plop and grow in the .dat files in the plugin folder

Two options for you. MML (menu mangaement lots) like you are refering to.. there are more of those here on ST probably.. The other thing is DAMN (Daeley's Advanced Menu Navigator)

I forgot as a side note how to tell the difference between plop and grow in the .dat files in the plugin folder

It is usually defined in the plugin file-name. if it says LM it is a plop building (or a landmark). Residential(R$, R$$ R$$) Commercial (Cs$++ & Co$++) and industrial (I-A, I-D, I-M, I-Ht) are growables ;)

Probably not a hard-and-fast rules for this. Those that Yarahi mentioned are the most common. You may also see "Grow" or "Plop" in the file name. Otherwise, look for the type in the download listing or a Readme file. Just a thought...

I'm looking for the files this guy used on his city journal:

https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/journals/3012/entry-13898-update-two-history-and-first-pictures/

Plus links any other BATS that fit into the 1600's to late 1700's or colonial times would be appreciated, like road and car replacements. I want to make a 1700's themed city. I've had little luck so far with finding things I'm afraid.

Here is a good place to start (most files from that Cj).. Also a search for the word "colonial" on the stex gave me this little village, Colonial homes by Simgoober, some colonial houses by pmiller19574

Guys this time I'm a bit confused with two of SimGoober's earliest uploads, namely his 7-11 & starbucks lots. I want to remove the plop lots for those two downloads but I can't quite figure out which lots I should remove. Also both these have multiple models & desc files of which I also can't make out which ones need to go.

@ megusta: you have the option to use a custom beach-texture with both those terrains. Like Marsh's beaches. Check the Read-Me for details

OK folks this one's a toughie :(

As I said on my last "I can't find it" post, I am currently collecting SimGoober's stuff here on the STEX. I could get his stuff over at the LEX but most of his stuff on there have been tweaked for CAM & I don't use that particular mod so I decided to stick with his stuff on here.

Anyway, I'm having a bit of a problem locating his (or others') BSC Farms (Farm lots) that will trigger the other crops on his SG Farm fields VOL02 pack. Currently I've got Melony's Melons & the Sugarcane Farm, but others that will trigger the other stuff on pack 2 like cantaloupes, peppers & potatoes I don't have &/or I can't find.

Did he eventually release an SG Farms Vol02 pack somewhere?

I don't know that much about the items in particular but converting from CAM to non-CAM is very easy simply change the growth stage using ilives reader, and from the looks of SC4 devotion the farms haven't been CAM'ed anyway.

Check out my CJ Spedbury, here :)

@ CRV: Have a look at the BSC Reward Chain-file. Contains links to all files in the BTE-chain, including all of 'Goobers farm fields ;)

Thanks Yarahi :thumb:

After reading through this document it seems I've got everything SimGoober farm related after all.

I have been trying to find embankments lots to make my city look more realistic. Note that I have found several of them but none that have that wow factor.

Here are several I have found:

Marrast's Embankment Set (more for around water and does look nice)

Buddybud embankment set (btw this one does have a nice touch to it)

JS Seawalls by JayStimson (more for around water and does look nice)

Well I would suggest following walls for creating embanments:

https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=168

https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/files/file/17875-japanese-walls-set/

And following one is really nice, but be careful when installing, you can have only one of the textures.

https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1504

https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1519

You'll notice that you need to register to sc4devotion and the LEX to download those, but it is worth it.

Here are several I like.

Jeronij seawall set:

https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=114

CDS Walk kit:

https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=287

Riprap seawall set:

https://www.simtropolis.com/forum/files/file/26255-riprap-seawall-addon/

Oh, & somebody posted a link to a very dirty industrial style seawall set on this thread, just go back several pages that look really awesome!

@ CRV: the earth park is by user STARDOG13 on the stex :-) Would go for the version called "earth day_night" or something like that. I.m.o. it is of better quality than the version in the "galaxy" pack

Look for more seawalls (besides those already given) at Uki-Sim.

See Paeng's Cj for how they look in-game.

Also remember that the JS Seawalls you already have found can be used on dry land as well... looks good if you want to build some kind of terraced terrain ;)

And that would be these from CSG Forums

Yup, just look at those! They're gritty & dirty in an excellent way & the spillway culvert with the dirty sewage pouring into the ocean is just sublime :thumb:

Anyway, at the start of this video from haljackey, what could those circular raised grass bits be?
