@boformer, @Ronyx69 I found the issue, the diffuse texture of the lod didn't get loaded. I really dont know why, every texture was the same size and name etc. I probably checked 10 times. But after renaming the files to x_''prefix'' it worked. Also Boformer Importing worked with only the _d map your are probably refering to this issue: '' Note: due to a bug in version 1.1.0, using this feature requires additionally importing both lod_s and lod_a for the model to work at all; neutral ones can be used.'' taken from the C:S wiki.

This looks great! Ever considered doing the Sydney harbour bridge? Probably the most historical bridge out there.

I really love these big bridges sadly I rarely get to use them in my cities due to the size of them. I tend to keep my cities small and compact and these bridges would completely dominate the landscape.

If you're looking for suggestions for more bridges, could you make some smaller ones which have a span of around 20-30u?

Something like the iconic bridge over the LA river

That would be a cool bridge.

I'm still waiting for someone to make new canals. I'd love to see one like the LA River. I need one like that for my city.

NOPE all wrong, Sorry @Abrams124 not yet maybe next it is on my list of stuff to create. Ill give some more pictures of a more completed version of the bridge, Hint its VERY big. Still have to do more texturing so don't mind the white.

Looks like the Akashi Kaikyo to me.

@Jerenable looks good, but those cables near the anchorage shouldn't parallel the road deck like that. They ought to form a nice catenary curve parabolic curve from the tower to the anchorage -- under gravity, the suspender cables have a natural tendency to form to that exact shape, and any deviation from that would tend to produce uplift forces on the truss supporting the deck, requiring extensive bracing to avoid actually buckling the deck and truss.

Looking good, @Jerenable - I definitely agree with @donoteat though - check the cable curves against the real bridge - they look a little stretched out towards the bottom. I can't wait for more big bridges though!

@bsquiklehausen @donoteat ping ping we have a winner, Its the Akashi Kaikyo 1:1 scale its really big its like 6x the previous bridge i made (not the full bridge single parts) I also made the cable curve a bit truer to reality.

The bridge is nearing completion and it looks gorgeous, that being from afar on the correct angle. Not because the texture is bad not because the model is bad, because the model is de-loading from sight anytime you come close -______- ugh. I will have to cut it up into pieces and use sub buildings to lessen the issue but i really hate it. Is there a setting in mod tools somewhere to change this cause i don't know.

There is no setting, it's an Engine Limitationen. Stay in the bounds of the plot, or use sub buildings.

I released the bridge, there was a little fault on my part with the SubBuilding xml thingy but thats resolved now. So I started working on my next project(s)!? I started working on making textures for the catenairy I was making,  readied an update to my cooling tower improving on textures and added smooth shading thanks for @Avanya for noting it, the forever broken but almost fixed warren style truss bridge (also SubBuildings related) and a set of new lowrise high wealth office buildings (photo down below). The office you can see below are gonna be modular, you can place one or a whole row.

I like the paneled look of the facade on your office. What texture size will you be going with? I hope not 2k. My asset list keeps growing, making less and less room for big file sizes.

Sounds very productive! :D And great to see more lowrise offices - the default ones aren't that pretty and having a ton of skyscrapers just gets a little much at times :P

I has been a while since I have posted here but here I come with another update, Update of the cooling tower done, lowrice offices ready for release (need to do RICO.xml) and figuring out how to change the warren bridge to native subbbuildings format. Then we have the new project wich are the Manhattan bridge and some animated signs.

the sign: I don't know how to embed so this will work for the gif of the sign I made the sign because Strictoaster said we couldn't make animated assets :3

Well I havn't posted in a while busy the usual stuff. But I have done some stuff I released the offices in the previous post These. I also made a lifting bridge, of course it cant lift I mean Colossos do you even lift? :8) well anyways here it is. I am releasing the span of the lifting bridge as a separate bridge too. I have done some work on the Manhattan bridge but i think i will put it on hiatus for now, I really don't feel  the motivation to create it.

Update time, I'm still alive I survived chrismas now the fireworks of new years -_____- Well what is there to update: 3 thing I guess. First I did work on the desalter for the refinery roject. After that I started working on a smal and a big arch bridge the small one is a real quick project to get familiar with the curve modifier and after that I started working on the real thing que album of images of big bridge created it in like 2 hours I was really impressed by myself to be honest. still have texturing to do which will be at least 2 hours+ of work. Ill leave it to someone to guess which bridge it is.

Bridge looks great! I have a steep river valley that would be perfect for a bridge like this. Now that I see the name, it is obvious to me (it's about an hour from my house).
