Guau impressive. Your images are fantastics! Your interchanges, your infraestructures, the design of your city it very good. I like so much everything. I have a question with respect at game, i never played and i want to know how is? Have limits to building? places where building? you have the possibility of make a big metropolis like New York? 'cause i see that the game give big possibilities, i like. Thanks, and greetings!

Nice expansion! Those highways are massive. Can't wait to see what you do with that awful default cloverleaf on the other side of the river.

I wonder what the driver in that hearse was thinking. Clearly he/she isn't bothered by the smell in the back. :P

zimmie: Imagine if I designed a real city in real life. When I was in school, I did mention to my urban design professor that I played SimCity. He said a lot of students do but after I told him that am not the average player and showed him some of my work our heads butted. My big highways goes against his way of thinking of walkable cities, but he did say it was impressive and the best he's seen. ;)

Ksr15: Deathcare is new to all of us, and unlike new players, I am used to the way healthcare is dealt with in SC4. I WILL adapt to this new curve ball, bit it might take some time.
-I didn't like the specialization feature in SC13, so I am thinking that is what is drawing me away from it. I will use districts in the future I think, this city is still small!

El Argentino: First of all, great work with your RHW tutorial today btw! I am making this city with a lot of inspiration form the SC4, specifically the NAM. I think you will find the answers you seek in the Steam or Paradox sites... I am not super familar with them yet.

Vitor13: ...And it's still early on. Thanks for the compliments, and I will certainly be going bigger and better as time goes on!

leofurquim: It's always been a design I've considered using, but for now I am going to build my highways based on the needs of the city. I might open up a sandbox time sometime to work on designs such as that as it might need some trial and error to get it to look and work correctly.

iviaarten: Thanks man! I really like the work you have done in Forkton!

Yann59111: How could I not make big highways! I am egar to remake that clover as well!

Sansha: Sexy? Well I guess you could describe highways with that word if you want. Thanks!

leofurquim8: Haha, it seems like people are dying all the time though. Might be a short life expectancy, at least for now. :P

In this part I take a crack at bringing rail to my city. I also tackle some traffic congestion. I got a new headset for commentary as well but it seems to be a little too quiet here... even though I did some tests before recording :P

nice looking pictures, will watch the video's later today.

When are you killing that vanilla clover leaf? :)

edit: after seeing you mess around with your folded diamonds over at the bridge interchange a bit more; I think a lot of the traffic issues you're getting there is because of the entrance and exit ramps being so close together. There's this really small section of road between them. All turning traffic has to wait for every car to clear this short road section before they can enter the intersections, causing a lot of traffic to just wait, stagger and not flow.

You can replace the 2 ramps with a short stub of road, or even 6 lane avenue, and then connect both ramps to that. I think this will drastically improve flow on those intersections.

A bit like this, but you can use larger avenues, or a shorter stub since you're a bit tight on space.

Wow, I have never seen so many six-laned roads in my life! Your traffic congestion must be horrible or you are anticipating some major traffic.

That's a lot of lanes I have to admit.

Short intersections on the road especially if they include a traffic light are terribly bad for the traffic in this game.

Always consider buffer distance on the exits as well.

I think that sasha have reason with respect at traffic. Would have to be "green wave" on the semaphores. Jaja daaa your city is so cool. In special, the descent from the bridge in the last image, is the better. And thanks so much for the comment of the tutorial.

leofurquim8: Haha I know, I just have a lot of dead people. You're in luck though as I clean the mess in this part!

iviaarten: Thanks! Great work in your CJ as well! Thanks for the tip, it might come in handy when closely spaced intersections become an issue due to congestion!

Ln X: lol, well if you put it that way, yes. It is designed for future expansion in mind as the city grows. The roads/intersections you see will be the backbone of a smaller system of roads as the city expands.

Sansha: Got a couple 12-lane roads and highways already, so I'm expecting a lot of use in the future!
-I'm still getting to grips with intersection spacing, but my experience with SC4 has told me to keep highway exits far apart.

El Argentino:  Thanks! Once I get a metro line I'm sure traffic will decipate a bit.

In this part, I make upgrades near a highway interchange to push rail north. I also deal with the dead. :ninja:

I have got to start using the nuclear power plant more often, it makes a great addition to industrial areas. I also like your CBD area, yes there is repetition but you make it work. Also are using custom RCI buildings?

Haljackey why don't you do a small rural city in a distance with a lot of farming industry around it? It would be so cool! ^-^ And another thing littles districts would be cool like small neighborhoods. Haha anyway the city it's your's so you decide what you want to do. Haha anyway(again) you are making an spetacular work on your city, you better keep it up u.u. (Sorry for any errors of english, I live in Brazil and I'm still having english classes)

Ln X: Ya they really do look cool in this game. I think I might move it to the water though as it would be a little more realistic since they use a heck of a lot of it.
-I haven't downloaded any new buildings yet.

leofurquim8: Maybe in the future, but I am building a city in this series. Just changed Building a City from Scratch to match with Skylines. :P

    tehshizpumpkin: Where's the trigger?

El Argentino: Thanks! Yep, going to be big! I think I will eventually revamp the area around the rail once the city grows more.

Wasn't really sure what do next, but I always find something to do. In this part, I expand the city to the east along the river.

On the second bus depot from part 11. You should think about getting the bus depot off that congested 6 way. All those buses heading out for other lines are no doubt adding to the congestion and if the bus depot were out of the mix, that would help. Why not move it out to a less well-used strip.

I want this game so much! I love what you can do with highways and roads. But for now I will still watching your awesome videos.

Try expending the city to the north and the area with oil put expecialize industry there. Think putting subway on your city to aliviate the traffic issues. Keep doing the awesome job >w<

My, my, your road systems totally rock with the black asphalt and USA road textures. It almost looks like NAM has moved over to CS, minus the merge lanes of course!

Good done! But perhaps that not like me, is that not there are acceleration lañes, or fusión lanes, and it's like the ramp collided with the main road. Would have that has these pieces as in the sc4. Would be well, no?

Very interesting to see how you worked out that intersection. Everytime I do run into such a problem I fail horrible :D
I wonder if your use of 6-lane roads does work for you. In my cities they never are a big help because those cims always ignore at least two lanes...

    Nevertheless awesome CJ!
