I love the quaint feel here.

Seems like it's hard for any single pic to get a foothold 'cause all the pics lately have been really close in quality.

Hey guys, we have some rule changes incoming! I'll list them here, the first post has also been updated.

    • Each round will now run until someone has reached 7 votes.
    • Rounds will also 24 hours after the First Vote has been cast.

Its still 4 consecutive rounds to enter the hall of fame, which can now be found in album form here. Let me know if there is anything missing from the list.

These rules may change in the next few weeks if this doesn't help keep the rounds rolling, so feel free to make rule change suggestions here.

Continuing with the competition, it seems we have reached the end of the last round, who wants to challenge ?

Yes, that's how it works. You should also quote the picture of your competitor so that voters can see the two pictures in one post.

I just love King's photo, although i dislike one or other detail, the quality is impressive. Your photo is good, but i don't really like C:S graphics :S

    King - 2

    Yorkshire - 0

Oooh, this is a tough one.  I like the C:S graphics and I love the idea of perspective shots from skyscrapers, but for such a developed city, I feel the area in the distance is just so empty.  And kingofsimcity has a great suburbs pic with a neat diversity of buildings.  Two great pics!

    ADDED LATER:

Wait a sec. I think voting is out of sync. Since both SimCoug, and MilitantRadical as well as my self voted for king, the overall score should be:

    kingofsimcity - 4

Kingofsimcity's picture is really nice. I love how the retail stores and office blocks blend together well with the surrounding suburbia.

Just a shame we can't build under maxis' power lines, because otherwise they are nice.

Also, would have been nice if the slope transition wasn't so.... abrupt. Otherwise a really nice picture.

That went well! Ah well - it revived the thread. That was my main aim.. ;)

Don't be discouraged. Everyone has lost a few rounds.

This was too hard to choose between. I really like Kingofsimcity's image, it's really a great image of semi-suburban life and has so many amazing details. But so too does MR's image, and I think I just like the lot and building choices a bit more in Militants image. Sorry King, I think it's a great image, but just not as good as the competitor.

    Impressive mosaic!

    Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

    This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

With regards, Miles Saunders-Priem aka. Ln X aka. The British Sausage

Though MR's image is initially quite striking and awe-inspiring, it takes a hit for realism from me. It's lacking in the minute details: For example, a city like that would have much busier roads, even at night. The marinas would not be completely full. Many of the sunken walls have stairs that lead to nothing but water. I've always found the default traffic lights to be bland and unrealistic-looking. Plus, the whole thing is too bright and utopian for my taste. King's picture has a nicer blend of qualities that's less up-in-your-face.

Don't get me wrong though, both images are beautiful.
