Just been testing it for about half an hour or so, found it to be brilliant a much needed improvement over the version that had them all in the government menu.

 

Think the new menu system is brilliant even has a section for custom content.

 

Although there seems to be a slight bit of lag when opening the residential menu.

The mod is absolutely amazing, however I can't seem to get the latest version to work as I can't find 01-ProjectAvalon-Akar-1.0 anywhere, is it available to download somewhere?

I spent hours last night putting ONE mod in at a time stating with AKAR Ran the gambit avalon, riici plop, undun But now I can't plop utilities or services outside original boundry Please help

Did you put back the project orion extended boundary mod?  If not that would explain why your unable to plop buildings outside the box.

    im still debating that with myself. should i break it down to different densities or just leave it.

    If it helps improve menu performance, its certainally worth considering.

    you should see a significant improvement already on loads but niclistin has to see breakdowns .. he gave yayie permission to do what is needed but there are many things we think can help including breaking down packages into sections like we talked about in devtest for users to be picky and selective but maybe menus solve that as well wihout changes..

     

    its going to have to be a vote of proxy majority now

    I have noticed significant improvements on the loading, I just noticed there was some lag with the residential. I like to make sure we get things right, can be a bit of a perfectionist.

    Back on topic I agree with the vote, we will see what the majority think.

    I'll add you on origin as soon as I get back on my desktop, currently on an IPad.

    Lets do some mapping plans

     

    Residential Menu

    • Low Wealth Low Density ($ Low Density)
    • Low Wealth Medium Density ($ Medium Density)
    • Low Wealth High Density ($ High Density)
    •  
    • Medium Wealth Low Density ($$ Low Density)
    • Medium Wealth Medium Density ($$ Medium Density)
    • Medium Wealth High Density ($$ High Density)
    •  
    • High Wealth Low Density ($$$ Low Density)
    • High Wealth Medium Density ($$$ Medium Density)
    • High Wealth High Density ($$$ High Density)

     

    That's 9 submenus and it will be 18 when CoT version comes along.

    I really do not think we have much choice... fact is this is something people are asking about and even we see when users use the information.. we knew that 515 objects was to much but we talked about splitting it up .. splitting it so far has improved it greatly yet we have performance issues with the current size of 9 x 57 .. so yes I think we will need to break it down by the factors above to improve the use and behavior and simplicity.

     

    but id ont see taking it any further as useful

     

    so I think this would be the furthest we wouldneed to take it

    FYI, my medium/high density stuff is fixed. I just needed to quit the map and rejoin the map and then it worked.

    This will help so same type Commercial popping up next to each other doesn't happen and Buildings going Dark. Know we need more Custom Buildings made like other Franchises.

    Apartments,Town homes,Condos,Assisted Living should get their own Menu. Resorts should be under Lodging. Gas Stations,Department Stores,Grocery Stores,Sit Down Chains and so on own Menu so if we select Gas Station it might show Bob's Mart,7-11,Amco,Tikes C. store or under Lodging it might show Days Inn,Smith Resort,Jakes Hotel.

    Also a Signs Menu if we select Lodging we plop it near an Exit meaning Thru's is Lodging off that Exit and also under would be Traffic Light with Sign on it like when we plop it we can Edit it by giving a name on Sign like saying Seminole BLVD and so on

    How about Commercial gets it's only Menu so when we open it we would see McDonalds,Burger King and others that people have made. Do we need to move those 2 this file to show up in Game or will the Game recognize that they are Custom made and show up in Custom RCI. Will ones that came with Game show up here to or we just have zone land Commercial for them to show up? Hotels/Motels under Residential maybe.

     

    Oppie's burger king and McDonalds are originally designed to be build by Zoning only. We are working on having them plop-able and best place at Custom RCI submenu in Custom Content menu.

     

    Hotels are commercial based properties, Hotels/Motels effects commercial, not residential.

    Hello, thanks for the awesome mod. But I am having trouble with the RCI plopping, it does not let me plop buildings larger than the small trailer houses. Did I miss something or install incorrectly? Because I re-downloaded it and placed all the files in the SimcityData folder.

    in some cases, you might need to save the game, and resume. or try on new region, leave and resume.
