We have so many missing files.

This post is dedicated to documenting and discussing files that are missing, unreleased, or otherwise unavailable to the community.

If you find or have missing files (whether listed or unlisted), please share them in Found Custom Content.

 

This post was inspired by Tyberius06's suggestion and the Conservation status.

The ones that never made it to STEX is a very similar topic.

 

 

Extinction (EX)

These files are most likely completely lost:

• Files created by individuals or teams but never released to the public
• Files released on lesser-known blogs, websites, or communities
• Files deleted on Simtropolis, SC4 Devotion, SimPEG, ToutSimCities, SimForum, CapitalSimCity, SimCity Force, Simcitychina, Simcit Square, SC4 Labs and other websites.

This could also be a great way to find back files that might have been lost publicly but that someone still has saved. I mean, I have a ridiculous 10Gb plugins folder and even more files saved, so it's not impossible that I might have some things that would otherwise be unavailable, and I'm sure I'm not the only one in that situation.

Yes, hopefully that will happen. I myself have a ton of stuff I can go through...

Remove the Ftexture please, as that one is highly outdated. It is already hosted both on STEX and SC4Evermore, however as I see the STEX versions is still not the latest most up to date version. But it can be downloaded as part of the

This is a bit older source, what you have. I contacted Jim via Twitter back in 2018-2019 regarding the two missing [closed] contents, and he restored them back in 2019. I did not know that his OneDrive went down again. I might reach out again to see what is the situation, however I have those two "missing" contents.

Could you add the download link to your files on  STEX Custodian General Support Topic? I think there is more suitable place.

Also pretty much any Lots or BATs made by NeonSim (apparently they tried uploading them here but the STEX apparently didn't like the file size, type or whatnot so they were going to upload them elsewhere, and if they did indeed prove successful in doing that, the website is both unknown to me and likely long-since defunct).

Isn't NeonSim with the bunch of Japanese BATs? He had a YT video about them. I asked him many years ago, to dig them out and we can try to upload them in some form, but it never went ahead...

Yes.  I was actually about to post a few example images below right as I got the notification of your inquery.  Sadly the images are now plastered over in photobucket logos so they're not such great quality anymore.

Yeah, I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that they'll likely never see the light of day again.  If only I knew how to BAT I could try making replicas of some of my favorites myself (not 1-to-1 obviously, and with different adverts), especially that Don Quixote BAT

@thecitiescenter and I have been looking for their stuff for years with no luck.

maybe it’s time to find a template from some of the flight sim stuff that is being used as a template, like I am doing with G6, and recreate from the aggregate lol. I do think their stuff was never found to begin with which sucks, because it’s really good stuff.
