The Waitresses: I know what boys like.

To this day my friends and I still cant believe a record producer actually listened to the demo tape and said, "Hell yeah! Sign them up! We'll even do a video for this new fangled MTV station!".

From their 1982 album:

Difficult to say what the "worst" song is.  This one is annoying, partly because it manages to be weirdly upbeat and sad at the same time.

We can inspire others through witness so that one grows together in communicating. But the worst thing of all is religious proselytism, which paralyzes: “I am talking with you in order to persuade you.” No. Each person dialogues, starting with his and her own identity. The church grows by attraction, not proselytizing.    - Pope Francis

See, I think that's unfair just to paint over all these vapid, forgettable pop singers (although I'd argue that at least Lady Gaga is memorable) because you are not their target audience, 15 year old girls and their unfulfilled mothers are.  They are well produced, high-styled, simple pop with little musical value, but they serve their target audience well and are never, EVER going away.  I'm a Led Zeppelin fan.  In 1969 when II came out (the one that had Heartbreaker, Whole Lotta Love, What Is And What Should Never Be, etc on it), the #1 single in the US was the Archies' Sugar Sugar.  Ugh.  It's been like this a long time.  That music's not bad, it's just vapid, forgettable, orverproduced pop.

ANYWAYS, you are not giving proper credit to TRULY bad music, like the excrement produced by Turquoise Jeep Records.  Sususudio by Genesis was awful.  Almost everything on Incubus' first album, Fungus Amongus, was just noisy garbage, and that's a band I really like, but I would rather listen to most of what you listed than that stupid album.  Mr. Big, Richard Marx, and everything by Poison not Talk Dirty To Me, well, actually, roll up all those late 80s glam band ballads and those all suck WAY worse that standard, boring pop music.

Oh, and yeah, Rebecca Black's Friday was bad, but that was more the producer's fault than hers, and the money she made from it, she donated.  She's alright.

I generally like music, particularly vocal work, but I find things like this fall into my class of never play again.  The garbage that gets published on U-tube and other venues these days falls much into the category of why I don't bother with U-tube or any other "social" network.  I consider them to be social diseases in every sense.  Really bad songs from the past:

Carbon Paper by George Burns

I've Got Tears in my Ears from Lying on my Side While I Cried Over You (country and western by artists unknown).

This is a PG13 site, so I can't tell you what I think of Justin Bieber and his ilk.

I don't like any songs, although I don't mind some music, preferably normal stuff (i.e not stupid pop music and rubbish etc)

The music of Simcity is alright I suppose. The main reason I hate singing is because people sound rubbish, whereas instruments can sound alright if done properly.

You mean all those years I spent studying vocal production were for nothing?  The human voice, when brought up right, is the best portable instrument because it needs no mechanical means of production.  Even an old bargain-basement counter tenor like me can sound quite interesting.

My range overlaps both the tenor and the baritone.

Definitely a tie between:

"This is the song that never ends.  Yes it goes on and on MY FRIENDS!..."

and

"It's a small world afterall.  It's a small world afterall.  It's a smalllllll world AAAAAAAAAAAfter AAAAAAAAAAAAALLL.  It's a small. small. world."

If that just did what i think it did; you're welcome.  :P

Probably the worst song I've ever heard is brokenCYDE, with several "modern/electro/crunk core" bands close in behind.

There is a single word for the worst "music" (if it can even be called music) ever in this planet: Reggaeton.

Now, if you want to see more, probably the songs of La Tigresa de Oriente, Wendy Sulca and Delfín Quishpe, more recently with Agüita de Coco (ok, this last one is hilarious) and La Cumbia de Goku, are just and rawly terrible.

Fortunatelly there are still good music around.

I grew up on Alternative Rock and Classic Metal and these are the genres I listen to the most. I like other forms like some Country, some Hip Hop (Beastie Boys are OK) as well as others but I can't stand Pop Music. It's the pretty much the same thing over and over and it gets annoying. it gets especially annoying when they play that same song over the radio time after time.

Some people think there are only two kinds of music: Country and Western.

The worst type of music is skiladika, the most terrible side of Greek Balkan Pop-Folk music. The name literally translates to "doggy songs", because the singing of those "artists" is so bad that it sounds like the barking of a dog. The music is bad, the lyrics are awful and the vocals are real barks. And the worst of all? It's very popular here in Greece!

Here is an example. Trust me, you don't need to know Greeks to understand how terrible is this song.

And you thought that Justin Bieber or the new Japanese pop bands are bad. I understand that this kind of music is too alien for most of you, but this is the bright side of it. It's not worldwide popular. Thank God!

"If you try to please everybody, you often times end up pleasing nobody, especially yourself. When somebody offers to do a favor for free, like making a mod for SimCity 4, you shouldn't be overly critical of something generously given to you. In other words, you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth." - Twilight Sparkle after playing SimCity

"Being a mayor or a content creator for SimCity 4 is a heavy responsibility, Patrick. Each city and each custom content is like a child, and must be treated as such." - SpongeBob Squarepants after playing SimCity

"Without deviation from the norm, progress is not possible." - Frank Zappa

"The wisest men follow their own direction." - Euripides

Don't think about like music, but a media to get to dance very close with members of the sex you feel attracted to.

^  Well, what's wrong with the Tango?  Very personal, very sexual.

I've heard that dancing is a navel engagement without loss of semen.

Who's Justin Bieber?

Some kid who went viral on the Internet, then couldn't handle the "fame".  You know, the normal teen-aged flash in the pan.

There was an episode of South park which perfectly summed up 'Tween Wave' or whatever it was called as well as Dubstep (another horrible sub-genre of electronica).

This song is terrible, but is awesome when playing GTA V.

Oh God, no :lost: . I never thought to see/hear that here in ST. Now I'm thinking in another songs, like La Papa by Valentin Elizalde, around genres as banda/duranguense/norteño.

No, nothing to do reggaeton with Tango, Nonny. Tango is personal, as many dances around (like banda and lambada, too). But reggaeton is directly sexual.

Hahaha! It's part of the Latin-American radio station in the game.

It also plays just about every time you enter a taxi (which are driven by Mexicans).

East Los FM? What it is suppossed to mean? If I really dislike GTA, now I dislike it more: terrible game, horrible soundtrack.

Also, there are a lot of parodies out there, just search for El Sonidito and you'll find it. That song were popular some years ago, maybe two or three, principally for cellphones ring, rarelly listen or danced for a party. I didn't knew where it finished till you posted it here.

I only played the game once, but I hear one of them (San Andreas) has some good songs. They have bands like L7 and Soundgarden which are amazing grunge bands from the 90s.
