I don't know if this is allowed or not, but I'd like to share my thoughts on what I'd like for CS2, that is, if it comes out. Asterisks mark ideas that I'm not sure of. All the features of vanilla CS1 The ability to port maps from CS1 into CS2 Region Play a la SC4* The ability to connect different saves* Marking land for AI-made cites** Tools, such as erosion, from SC4 Overhangs When making a map, you have to check whether the highways are right-handed or left-handed, so that when you switch it on a map, the directions of the highways get reversed The ability to rotate the entire map 90° The ability to draw two highways going in opposite directions at once The ability to change lane directions in the map editor Better Zoning Support for non-rectangular lots Zone placement at the end of roads and cul-de-sacs for more zoning Having lost go behind other lots and buildings Medium Density Mixed Use Zoning Residential/Commercial: Medium and High Density Residential/Office: Medium and High Density Commercial/Office: Medium and High Density Residential/Commercial/Office: High Density Commercial/Industrial: Medium Density* Office/Industrial: Medium Density* High Density can occupy up to 8 x 8 lots The farming system of the Industries DLC Some of the modded roads Road Anarchy in a limited form Realistic off-ramps without going crazy TM: PE A sort of co-op or vs mode (NOT full-on multiplayer) ******** The ability to change latitude per map Seasons* Trams in the vanilla game The ability to make cims follow them throughout their lives a la SC4 Setting percent taxes for districts Traffic AI that won't make the cars pile into one f%$@ing lane! The ability to designate areas as parks a la the Parklife DLC Flash floods, if they include disasters Epidemics, if disasters are included A sort of slum system* A desirability system for well-off people* Gentrification Abandoned buildings can be re-occupied Conversely, squatters can live there without paying taxes. The building will still have no level Underfunded buildings look dilapidated Under funding prisons causes more repeat felons Protests, usually caused by unfair policies, which can block traffic and disrupt the city I hope this goes well. If you'd like to comment on it or add to it, go ahead.

Cities Skylines Traffic Help
MatthewTNT79 replied to MatthewTNT79's topic in Cities: Skylines General Discussion
I made a new city and I'm having increasingly bad traffic along the highway junctions to the urban center. I could fix all the other traffic problems, but this had me stumped. Please note: I use the realistic population mod. https://www.dropbox.com/s/s6ke1nt3e3d00b8/Lantern City 3.crp?dl=0 Edit: I decided to look at the city again and traffic is much worse. I just recently added the district across the river and was so focused on the urban center that I forgot about everything else. -
I've been trying to make a custom map where a river splits, goes over a cliff, and into the sea. However, there are a host of problems and I have little idea how to fix them. Along with the the unnatural terrain, especially around the slopes, the rivers are much too shallow and one of them has a mild drop after the cliff, which is undesirable. It would be very appreciative if you could assist me with making my map or better yet, have the file for the map itself so you could fix it. Cities Skylines Traffic Help
MatthewTNT79 replied to MatthewTNT79's topic in Cities: Skylines General Discussion
I'm sorry to bug you again, but traffic's spiraling out of control. It's gotten to the point where part of my city is developing gridlock and it's overwhelming. Also, those roads you had off were the two lane roads with medians (all of them) and you might need to turn all of the roads on (and maybe the World Trade Center). https://www.dropbox.com/s/l1c9qqnyypk1zna/Candle Falls 5.crp?dl=0 -

What’s the Stupidest Decision You Made in Cities: Skylines?

I did some really dumb things in Cities: Skylines and SimCity 4, do I was wondering; am I the only one? Could it get any dumber than accidentally placing a water pump next to a drainage pipe? Share below. -

I've seen a few badly designed cities in Cities; Skylines, but I know there's a lot more out there. So why don't you show us some terrible cities you've seen?

What theme do you use? because I don't have that theme, and whenever I try to open the file, I constantly get an error message. -
Cities Skylines Traffic Help

I can't thank you enough. All of this work you do, it really puts into light how bad I am at city planning. And while I'm trying to get past the stage of, "Alot of traffic wants to got to the left, so I'll build a slip road." I still don't know what to do half of the time.
