Requests:

 

1.  There are some really nice W2W diagonal corners, for example in Prepo's pack.  But they're not all mirrored.  How hard is it to mirror them?  Do the models need to be re-rendered or something?

 

2. More generally, all 45 degree diagonal corner lots have an overhanging base texture that sticks out to cover the interior corner of the intersection in front of the building.  Great!  BUT... there's always corners where you don't want that shape, like on a roundabout, where there's one tile of street on the interior angle - like the upper right corner here (ABOVE the red box):

Placing a 45 degree corner lot there makes the sidewalk texture triangle stab into the circle.  Ugly.  I think it'd be great to have an alternate version of many of these lots (Porkissimo, JENX, Xannepan,lots of others) that can be placed into this corner.

 

3.  Finally, I'm no good with graphics, but I'd like to mod lot files.  I can edit an existing lot file fine with the reader, but how do you make a new lot from an existing lot?  Like, I have an R$$$5 and I want to add an R$$6 for the same building. I just don't get how to do that. Is there a tutorial for this?

1. Search for the Model Tweaker, a tool developed by cogeo: not sure but I think it has the ability of mirroring models. Otherwise yes they have to be rerendered

 

2. Agreed, but would require models to be rerendered...

 

3. You'd need SC4 PlugIn Manager to do that, or even better the PIM-X (+ fix for Win7 SP1 users). The user's guide will answer most of your questions and provides step-by-step instructions to help you achieve what you want

 

 

i also have another question, and that is, if there is a fire in my city, is there OR is it possible for a mod to make like 2 or 3 firetrucks from the Nearest station respond on their own?

I have an idea for a mod, but no idea at all how to make it myself: Rail to Trail paths. My thought was that since so many cities convert abandoned railways into paved bike right-of-ways, maybe create some pieces modeled with the same basic footprint as the STR pieces in the game. I was only thinking as park, I understand pathing is a real pain. With the added smoothness of the RRW redo I think it would make an amazing addition. It would add that extra bit of realism that the SC4 community always finds a way to add.

I am looking for some cemetary prop packs (i.e mousoulium, headstones, hearse) and possibly a mortuary and creamatorium too, I know sounds morbid, but I need a little more realism in my cemetaries

That would come under BAT requests, look in the BAT forums and there is a request thread there. After someone has made them (not me, because i'm rubbish at BAT), you can make another lot based on the cemetary that shipped with the game in Lot Editor (LE). You can download LE at http://www.simcity.ea.com . If you need any help go to the 'Lot Making, Map Making, & Exchange' forum.

 

You mean a morgue, not a mortuary.

 

 

I want some kind of mod that turns the default tree controller into a tree controller that spits out trees that come from the good ol' state of Florida. You probably know, like saw palmettos, slash pines, cabbage palms, live oaks, and also spanish moss hanging on some trees.

 

Instead of someone making this for me, I will find a tutorial on how to design a new tree controller so I can model trees of my own. I would love to know if there is a tutorial on this cause that would be gretly appreciated.

The main way to reduce abandonment is with the NAM traffic simulator.  Used skillfully with rapid transit, it can reduce abandonment down to almost nothing, and sometimes eliminate it entirely.  Do you have the NAM?

Sorry if this has been posted before, but has anyone considered a FAR-NWM?

 

Was looking at how Broadway cuts across the NYC grid when I had the idea.

 

Another one, has anyone else wished they could attach road diagonally to the Avenue roundabouts, or single road pieces to the ortho links?

 

Just thought it would give more flexibility for busy intersections

Is it possible to make a 1x1 from the bleacher-only model in the sc4plugins folders?  Ive been working on some 1x1 and 2x1 ploppable of "high school type paying field ensembles" since none of the larger and 'major league type fields and stadiums fit the themes of my country schools.

 

could you make a 1x1 out of this mod included hats used in ballpark and stadium ploppable?  Im looking for the back of the bleachers to line up with the edge of the tile and the sides to be on each edge as well, making a w2w mod.  This way I can pop as many side by side to make a set of ploppable bleachers as large as I want

Since my BAT crashes on some sketchup imports i went to take a look here

 

i just need some models to function for Lot-Editor   Plugin Manager.

Hi guys !!!!

 

I was wondering if someone already made a mod who pauses the game after an advisor interrupts you.

 

Because I find it very annoying... when you're running the city at full speed and let's say you're told there's a strike at a clinic (well when you run full speed most of the time it's to let some new neighboroods grow). When you close the advisor's window the game resumes at full speed and you get another advisor immediately, with no time to fix the first thing.

 

Is there such a mod ? Please let me know, thanks in advance. mini-respect-1392.gif

hey all,

 

now, i cannot for the life of me model thhings, i have tried in several games and always failed, but i can make maps and have done so for years for a variety of games ahah.. Now, i was wondering, if anyone out there could make this train station?

It's Reading train station, in england, the first big station outside of london and the busiest train station outside of london in the UK, its used for both the public and industrial purposes.

I am attempting to build the city of Phoenix in SC4, but I need this building more than any other. Anyone willing to give it a go? I would love to attempt it, but I have neither the time or ability to even attempt to do this building. It is the Hyatt Regency Building in downtown Phoenix.

I'm looking for a mod that gives me the oppurtunity to build medium wealth suburbs that only consists of 1x1 tiled houses. I.e a mod which determines the size of low density residentials. I have the mod which blocks those huge mansions from growing, and I'm guessing what I'm looking for may be built in a similar way? 

EDIT: Just found out there's no way to start a city using 1x1 tiled residences only. Never mind my request.

i would really love a mod that overwrites all the maxis lots so the driveways connect to the roads... i know there are the overhang driveways that do it, but if someone wants to create a mod that does all the maxis lots that would be awesome

We have Skylines thanks to Mikeseith's Japanese car mod and we have a Skyline GT-R on the STEX, But, we don't have the newer one. That's why I'd like to see this.

You would know half the problem... I live in the tropics.

 

Anyways, apart from the Flinders station, I have never really seen any grand colonial style train stations in STEX or LEX. Here are some cool real life stations:

 

Chhatrapati Shivaji Station- Mumbai, India

 

Hazrat Nizammudin Station- Delhi, India

 

Chennai Egmore Station- Chennai, India

 

Haora Junction- Kolkata, India

Can someone please make a mod to make the Day/Night Cycle in Region View? I can't believe no one has thought of this yet. Its one big thing that this game is missing. It doesn't even have to be a cycle, but rather an option to view the region at night.
